Forza Horizon 6 launches with over 600 cars, but which ones are the quickest? There are some key changes from previous games. Notably, Bugatti cars – usually among the fastest – aren’t included this time. Instead, Forza Horizon 6 leans into its fun, arcade-style gameplay, and Forza Edition cars – especially Japanese models – are now the top performers.
Let’s look at how we determined the fastest cars in the game. We didn’t just consider their base top speed. Instead, we ranked them by the highest speed possible after applying tuning and upgrades, no matter the car’s original class (S1, S2, or R). We found these speeds by checking the ‘All-Time Great’ user tuning setups for each car and focusing on the maximum top speed (and other stats like acceleration). Keeping that in mind, here’s a definitive ranking of the fastest cars achievable in Forza Horizon 6 as of today.
Just so you know, this list only shows the cars you can pick right from the start of the game. And I’m only including the cars that come with the base game – no extra cars from DLC packs here!
10. Koenigsegg Agera RS
Max Top Speed: 282.5 mph
- Top Speed (Stock): 275.0 mph
- How to Get: Autoshow/Auctions
Since Bugatti cars aren’t currently in Forza Horizon 6, Koenigsegg is currently the fastest car brand in the game, with most models capable of reaching speeds around 270 mph. The Koenigsegg Agera RS is the second-fastest Koenigsegg available without modifications, surpassing models like the Agera, Regera, One:1, and CCGT. It offers impressive speed right away, looks fantastic, and still has room for upgrades to go even faster. For most players, the Agera RS is fast enough to win, with only a handful of cars being quicker in drag races.
9. McLaren F1
Max Top Speed: 286.3 mph
- Top Speed (Stock): 243.3 mph
- How to Get: Autoshow/Auctions/Wheelspins
The McLaren F1 is surprisingly one of the quickest cars in Forza Horizon 6, despite not having a particularly high stock top speed and starting in the S1 class. It’s an excellent choice for a top speed build, and with a few upgrades, it can beat even the fastest Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and most Koenigseggs. Remarkably, its age – over 30 years – doesn’t hold it back, proving the McLaren F1 remains a legendary performer alongside modern hypercars.
8. Rimac Nevera
Max Top Speed: 286.3 mph
- Top Speed (Stock): 258.4 mph
- How to Get: Auctions/Wheelspins
The Rimac Nevera was one of the quickest cars in Forza Horizon 5, and while other special edition cars are now more competitive in FH6, it’s still incredibly fast. What makes the Nevera stand out is that it’s fully electric, giving it a remarkably smooth start, a unique feel behind the wheel, and some of the best acceleration of any standard car in the game. In Forza Horizon 6, you can really push the Nevera to achieve even higher top speeds, making it excellent for drag racing and a strong contender for speed traps and speed zones, all thanks to its incredible acceleration and braking.
7. Koenigsegg Jesko
Max Top Speed: 295.6 mph
- Top Speed (Stock): 284.0 mph
- How to Get: Autoshow/Auctions/Wheelspins
The Koenigsegg Jesko is consistently one of the quickest cars in the Forza Horizon series, and Forza Horizon 6 is no exception – it’s fast even without any modifications. It would likely rank among the top three cars based on top speed, just like in Forza Horizon 5. This car is based on a real-world record-breaker, representing years of Koenigsegg’s dedication to building incredibly fast and high-performance hypercars. However, its challenging handling – specifically its powerful launch and tendency to drift – means it takes some practice to truly master.
6. Porsche #3 917 LH Forza Edition
Max Top Speed: 295.7 mph
- Top Speed (Stock): 259.8 mph
- How to Get: Auctions/Wheelspins
The Porsche #3 917 LH Forza Edition is one of the most powerful cars in Forza Horizon 6. It’s incredibly fast and sits at the top of the R class, but requires precise tuning to prevent it from becoming an overpowered X class vehicle. Once fully upgraded, it’s nearly as quick as the Koenigsegg Jesko, and actually slightly faster. However, you’ll need a very long straightaway in Japan to truly reach its top speed.

5. Mazda MX-5 Miata Forza Edition
Max Top Speed: 297.1 mph
- Top Speed (Stock): 257.6 mph
- How to Get: Aftermarket/Auctions
The Mazda MX-5 Miata Forza Edition has quickly become a top contender in Forza Horizon 6 drag racing, setting numerous records alongside cars like the Nissan GT-R Black Edition FE and Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex FE. While it’s a bit slow to start, its supercharged engine delivers incredible speed once it gets going, making it surprisingly powerful. Plus, it’s easy to find – you can often buy it as an Aftermarket Vehicle near the beginning of the game at the Horizon Festival.
4. Ultima Evolution Coupe 1020
Max Top Speed: 303.0 mph
- Top Speed (Stock): 243.4 mph
- How to Get: Autoshow/Auctions/Wheelspins
I’ve noticed the Ultima Evolution Coupe 1020 doesn’t get much love on those ‘fastest cars in Forza Horizon 6‘ lists, and that’s a real shame! It’s true that right out of the box, its top speed isn’t amazing, but once you tune it up, it’s one of the few cars in FH6 that can break 300 mph! What really surprised me is how quickly it accelerates – it goes from 0 to 60 in just about a second, making it the fastest in the game! And the best part? You can buy it directly from the Autoshow for only 150,000 credits, so you don’t have to spend ages trying to find it. Honestly, for the first few hours of the game, the Ultima Evolution Coupe 1020 is probably the easiest and quickest way to dominate all those speed challenges – it makes them feel super easy!
3. Hennessey Venom F5
Max Top Speed: 306.4 mph
- Top Speed (Stock): 304.7 mph
- How to Get: Autoshow/Auctions/Wheelspins
The Hennessey Venom F5 is the quickest car in Forza Horizon 6 right out of the box, and it doesn’t need much tuning to gain a few extra miles per hour. When you do upgrade it, you’ll notice a huge boost in acceleration – almost double what it had originally! I found myself using this car constantly to win drag races, beat speed cameras, conquer speed zones, and nail high jumps in FH6. It handles really well, and combined with its incredible acceleration and top speed, it can even make fast corners feel easy.
2. Nissan GT-R Black Edition (R35) Forza Edition
Max Top Speed: 307.4 mph
- Top Speed (Stock): 304.8 mph
- How to Get: Auctions/Wheelspins
The Nissan GT-R Black Edition (R35) Forza Edition is currently the car to beat in Forza Horizon 6‘s S2 class drag races, holding all the track records. Even without any modifications, it’s incredibly fast, and a few upgrades can make it even quicker. However, this car is built purely for straight-line speed, making it very difficult to handle on any track with turns. Plus, it can be tough to acquire – good luck finding one on the auction house, as they’re usually bought up immediately. Your best bet is to try your luck with Wheelspins.
1. Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex Forza Edition
Max Top Speed: 323.8 mph
- Top Speed (Stock): 279.1 mph
- How to Get: Master Explorer Journal Reward/Auctions
The Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex Forza Edition is easily the fastest car in Forza Horizon 6, and it’s not a close competition. While it already has a top speed of around 280 mph, with some tuning, it can reach nearly 324 mph – which is incredibly fast! The difference in speed between this car and all others is truly remarkable. However, you’ll need specifically designed tracks to reach these speeds; it won’t happen on the regular roads in Japan. The main downside is how difficult it is to obtain in FH6 currently. Finding one at auction is expensive, and even unlocking it through gameplay takes significant effort. But trust me, the reward is absolutely worth it.
