I was absolutely blown away by this Final Fantasy 14 player‘s house! They built this incredible home inspired by an area from the game Pragmata, and shared pictures online. Apparently, they played Pragmata and just had to recreate something from it in FF14. They even mentioned that a recent update to housing in FF14 made it possible to pull off this amazing build!
Player housing has been a popular way for Final Fantasy 14 players to show their creativity since it was first added in A Realm Reborn. With the release of the Endwalker expansion and the new Ishgard housing area, the way players acquire homes changed. Instead of rushing to claim a plot, a lottery system with set times was implemented. So, if you’re hoping to buy a house for yourself or your free company in Final Fantasy 14, you’ll need to save up Gil and keep an eye on available plots on your server.
Final Fantasy 14 Player Faithfully Recreates Pragmata’s Shelter
A player of Final Fantasy 14 recently recreated the main Shelter location from Pragmata, one of the most popular new games of 2026, as a house within the game. Miya Shikhu shared screenshots of their impressive build on Twitter. They used furniture from the Dawntrail expansion, specifically the Everkeep set, and also incorporated items like phasmoscapes, flower pots, and miniature models from earlier Final Fantasy 14 expansions.
As a huge fan of both Final Fantasy XIV and Pragmata, I was blown away by what some players have been creating! Someone and a friend actually recreated Hugh and Diana from Pragmata as their characters, and they even made Diana a Lalafell, which was hilarious and perfect! They built this amazing recreation of the Shelter from the game, and it looked incredible. The creator, Miya Shikhu, explained that the recent update, Patch 7.5, really made it possible. They increased the limit on how much furniture you can place inside your house – we can now put up to 600 items, up from 400 before! That extra space was key to getting all the details just right, and the dedication to getting the scan lines on the gate looking authentic was seriously impressive.
Final Fantasy 14’s Housing System Still Has Changes Planned
Despite recent changes, Final Fantasy 14 still plans a major housing update. Square Enix has announced that players will be able to adjust the interior size of their homes without affecting the exterior. This means you could have a small or medium house on the outside with a surprisingly large interior – players have playfully nicknamed it the “TARDIS housing update” after the famous time machine from Doctor Who. While Final Fantasy 14 has other content planned for 2026, including a new Beastmaster job and the final Cosmic Exploration update, there’s no confirmed date for when this housing feature will be released.

Hey everyone, just letting you know Miya Shikhu’s house, called Pragmata, is open for visits! It’s located in the Goblet on the Garuda server. Now, Garuda is actually in the Japanese data center, so if you want to check it out in Final Fantasy 14, you’ll need a character on either the Elemental, Mana, Gaia, or Meteor data centers. With the Evercold expansion coming up, who knows what changes they’ll make to housing, but it’ll be interesting to see!
