The free PlayStation Plus games for April 2026 are now available for all members. These games are worth almost $120 total, and players have 27 days to add them to their library.
Since the start of 2026, Sony has given away 11 free games to PlayStation Plus subscribers. The latest games offered include Monster Hunter Rise, The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road, Slime Rancher 2, and PGA Tour 2K25. Both February and March 2026 featured four free games each, which is more than usual.
PS Plus Returns to Triple Freebie Format with Newly Launched April 2026 Free Games
Today, April 7th, PlayStation Plus members can now download the free games for April 2026! This month brings three games: the anime action RPG Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream, the challenging fantasy game Lords of the Fallen, and the remastered versions of the original Tomb Raider trilogy. These games are available to add to your library until May 4th, regardless of your PS Plus membership level.
The remastered Tomb Raider trilogy from Aspyr is the highest-rated game from the April 2026 releases, averaging 75 on OpenCritic. It also boasts the best user rating on the PlayStation Store with 4.49 stars. All the games in this lineup are fairly new – Lords of the Fallen came out in 2023, and Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream and the Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered collection launched in 2024. Notably, Lords of the Fallen received a significant update before being added to PS Plus, greatly improving cooperative play for those trying the game through the service.

For the first few months of 2026, PlayStation Plus free games always included at least two titles for the PS4, and even three in February. However, that trend changed with the April 2026 selection, which is mostly for the PS5. While PS4 did technically receive some games this month thanks to a remastered Tomb Raider collection counted as three separate games, it’s a bit of a technicality. This signals a move away from supporting the older PS4 console with free monthly games. As Sony announced in June 2025, 2026 is the year they planned to start phasing out PS4 games from the PS Plus free lineup, and April’s selection is the first to clearly show that change.

Sony typically announces its new PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games on the 8th of the month, so we expect the list for April to be revealed tomorrow. These games should then become available on April 21st, which is also when several current games will likely be removed from the service.
