Gothic Classic Trilogy on PS5: Everything Confirmed So Far

If you’re a fan of the classic Gothic video game series, you’ll be happy to hear it’s officially making a comeback! THQ Nordic has announced that the entire RPG trilogy is being re-released on PlayStation 5 and other platforms in 2026. This includes all three beloved games, and here’s a rundown of everything we know so far – including when you can play them, what systems they’ll be on, and how much they’ll cost.

Gothic Trilogy Release Date and Platforms

Instead of releasing all at once, the Gothic Classic Trilogy will be published in three parts throughout 2026. This staggered release likely aims to give each book its own dedicated spotlight.

The classic Gothic series will be re-released in three parts next year. Gothic Classic arrives on July 28, 2026, with Gothic II Complete Classic following on September 29, 2026. The series will conclude with Gothic 3 Classic on November 24, 2026, letting players enjoy each game at their own speed.

The entire trilogy will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.

Gothic Trilogy Pricing And Versions Being Released

PlayStation LifeStyle reports that each game in the trilogy will be available for purchase separately, instead of being bundled together. Each game will cost €29.99, making them reasonably priced options for gamers.

Currently, THQ Nordic hasn’t officially announced any special editions for release. However, they’ll probably offer one soon after all three games are available.

These aren’t remakes, but updated versions of the original games. Piranha Bytes, the German studio known for the series, has kept the core games intact while adding technical improvements for current gaming systems.

The re-release of the original Gothic games is connected to the upcoming Gothic 1 Remake. Players who pre-order the remake will get to play Gothic Classic before anyone else. The remake is planned to launch on June 5, 2026. Additionally, as reported by Gematsu, physical copies of the game will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, though the Xbox version will require a content download.

Whether you’re a returning fan or new to the series, the upcoming revival of Gothic looks incredibly promising. Stay tuned for more news as the release of the trilogy approaches.
