‘Hal Finney And Friends’ – DOGE Creator Believes Them to Be Satoshi

As a seasoned crypto investor with over a decade of experience in this wild and unpredictable world of digital currencies, I have to say that the revelations about Satoshi Nakamoto’s true identity by Shibetoshi Nakamoto (Billy Markus) are intriguing. While I must admit that I was initially skeptical, given the numerous false claims over the years, I find myself leaning towards Billy’s latest guess – Hal Finney and his friends.

Billy Markus, famously known as Shibetoshi Nakamoto online and co-creator of Dogecoin with Jackson Palmer in 2013 using the Bitcoin code, has publicly identified the individual (and his companions) he thinks is most likely the real Satoshi Nakamoto, the inventor of Bitcoin.

In a comment attached to one of his tweets, Markus disclosed that Peter Todd was referred to as Satoshi in the HBO documentary “Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery.” According to Markus’s knowledge, Todd is not believed to be the author of the Bitcoin white paper.

Markus reveals “Satoshi” who passed away in 2014

Shibetoshi Nakamoto posted a tweet saying, “It’s not Peter Todd, buddy,” along with an emoji depicting a man facepalming, which can be interpreted as expressing exasperation or frustration.

When a Dogecoin enthusiast questioned Markus’s speculation about who might be behind it, the creator of Dogecoin quickly replied, “Hal Finney and his companions.” Hal Finney, a renowned software engineer, is recognized as the recipient of the initial Bitcoin transaction from Satoshi Nakamoto’s wallet. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2014 due to complications from ALS that he had been battling for the past four years before that.

In my investigation as a researcher, I had the opportunity to interview Peter Todd, frequently recognized as a strong contender for the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto. However, in a recent tweet by Markus, he stated that while Todd is one of the early core developers, he is not the creator of Bitcoin.

he’s one of the more OG core devs but not the creator

Previously mentioned, Markus expressed curiosity on Twitter about whether Bitcoin’s value might decrease following the disclosure of Satoshi’s identity planned for a documentary.

Peter Todd slams Satoshi documentary makers

In my capacity as a crypto investor, I’m compelled to clarify a recent matter: Peter Todd, much like he did in the past several years, has denied any connection to Satoshi Nakamoto, following the release of an HBO documentary today. He’s been quite critical of the film’s director, Cullen Hobac, claiming that the documentary, in its irresponsible nature, has potentially put his life at risk.

As a researcher investigating the origins of Bitcoin, I’ve noticed a significant amount of criticism within the community directed towards the creators of the recent documentary, as they appear to have omitted any compelling evidence supporting the claim that ‘Todd’ was indeed the mastermind behind the creation of Bitcoin.

Prior to the movie’s premiere, the individual who received the most wagers on the prediction platform Polymarket was Len Sassaman, a cryptographer who passed away in 2011 – approximately eight months after Satoshi announced his departure from Bitcoin on the BitcoinTalk forum.
