While exploring the Home section of the Town Guide in Heartopia, you’ll discover how to throw a house party! You don’t need to invite guests to finish the tutorial, but some players are getting stuck on one step: putting out food for them. If you haven’t unlocked the Cooking hobby yet, here’s how to get past that part.
You can find a helpful guide to the Cooking hobby on Heartopia, but it’s not required to finish the Home Party quest.
How to Place Servings of Food for Guests in Heartopia
If you haven’t learned to cook yet, you likely still have some salads you can offer at the party. They might not be the most thrilling food, but it’s your party, so that’s what matters! Just remember, you can’t simply use your inventory to put food out – there’s a different method for arranging party snacks.
Don’t press the large blue buttons. Instead, look for three smaller icons below them: a trash can, a wizard hat, and a house with a downward arrow. Tap the house icon – that’s the third one from the right. This will let you enter editing mode so you can move things around. Once you’re in editing mode, you can place the salad on a table or any other flat surface where someone would normally eat.
After you’ve set out three dishes of food, the Party quest will move forward. You’ll need to throw a party, use Party Poppers to celebrate, and then take a picture.
