Okay, so every live service game these days has a Battle Pass, right? Highguard doesn’t exactly call it that, but they have something similar. This guide is going to show you how to snag a free War Chest and explain how it all works within Highguard. Basically, it’s your guide to the game’s progression system!
Many people dislike the idea of a Battle Pass because they’ve become associated with negative experiences. However, free-to-play games often include them, and Highguard adds another layer of complexity with its War Chest system.
Does Highguard Have A Battle Pass?
Highguard has a fully fledged Battle Pass system under the guise of a War Chest.
The War Chest is simply a new name for the game’s Battle System. Like similar systems in games like Fortnite, it lets you earn rewards – called Highguard – with more choices and flexibility.
Earning rewards costs a lot of Highguard currency, and they mostly consist of typical optional items like character skins, weapon styles, and profile customizations. While future reward chests will likely require either real money or in-game currency, the first one is free to claim.
How To Claim Free War Chest In Highguard
You need to go into the Highguard Store, click on War Chest, and claim your free Battle Pass.
Here’s a quick step-by-step guide on what to do:
- Load up Highuard.
- Go to the main menu.
- Make sure you’re on the tabs at the top.
- Cycle across to Store.
- Click on Inspect War Chest in the corner.
- Claim the War Chest.
- You now have a free Battle Pass for Highguard Episode 1.
I’m so excited about the first War Chest! There are 44 different things you can earn, and they range from common to really rare items. It’s broken down into four parts, or ‘Chapters,’ and you get rewards by playing matches and collecting Vigil Tokens. Basically, you trade those tokens for the goodies inside!
Future War Chests will likely be structured the same way as previous ones, but this could change if the Highguard community voices strong objections.
