How to Add & Invinite Friends in NTE

Playing NTE and tackling its strange challenges and the Hethereau city is enjoyable on your own, but it really shines when played with friends. Luckily, the game does have a co-op feature, though it’s not immediately obvious how to access it.

Okay, so I know a lot of us have been wondering when we can finally play co-op in NTE, and how the whole multiplayer thing works. Well, good news! Co-op actually unlocks when you hit Hunter Level 8. I’m going to walk you through exactly how to unlock it, add your friends, and get invites rolling so we can all play together.

How to Play Multiplayer Co-Op in NTE (Neverness to Everness)

You need to reach Hunter level 8 before you can play with others in NTE. Luckily, gaining Hunter XP is pretty simple – just complete quests and daily missions, which are usually quick and easy and become available again each day.

Once you reach Hunter Level 8, you can tap the icon in the top-right corner of your screen to find the Friends menu. This is where you can see and manage your in-game friends.

Okay, so if I want to add a friend, I just click the “Add Friend” button down at the bottom right. Then the game, NTE, will ask for their user ID. You can find your friend’s UID in the bottom left corner – that’s what you need to type in and send the request!

Once you’ve added your friend, head to the Multiplayer section on your phone. You can then send them an invitation to play. When they accept, you’ll both be in the same game world and ready to start playing together!

To play together, your friend also needs to be at least Hunter level 8. Also, everyone needs to be on the same game server, because NTE doesn’t allow cross-server play.

Once you’ve added friends, you can find their requests in the Friends menu and accept them. Keep in mind that you can have a maximum of four players in a game session.
