Raising a child or teenager in your Paralives household is a significant commitment, and sending them to school is vital for their development. But to help them grow into well-rounded individuals, it’s important to make sure they complete their homework.
Getting good grades is important, and if your ParaLive character has homework, you’ll need to learn how to get them to complete it. Here’s a guide to everything you need to know about homework in ParaLive.
How Does School Work in Paralives?
When you have a child in your family, they’re automatically enrolled in school. If your Para Sims have a baby, the child will be enrolled when they reach the appropriate age. School hours are 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday (or 9:00 to 15:00 on the 24-hour clock).
For Para children, the career panel has been updated to display their current subjects and grades. Just like adults with jobs, children need to be happy and well-cared for to do their best in school, so be sure to meet their needs.
As a parent, I’ve noticed that if my kids aren’t doing well in school, their grades start to slip. It’s a bit discouraging because it means they miss out on some rewards and benefits they’d get with better grades. You can actually keep an eye on this right in the top-right corner of the screen – it’s a handy way to see how they’re doing!
How to Do Homework in Paralives
You’ll know your student has homework because a tan bar will appear at the top of their school or career tab. It will also show up as a notification on the right side of the screen when they get home.
In Paralives, your child will need a computer to complete their homework. You can buy one through the Paradimes store. Once you have it, select your child, click on the computer, and choose the “Homework” option at the top of the menu.
The school/career section shows how much time your child has to finish assignments in each class. It’s important to check this regularly, as they may have homework for multiple subjects.
Completing homework can improve their grade for that specific subject!
Students won’t receive homework every day, and you’ll always be notified when they do have an assignment. This feature only appears in the system after a student is first assigned homework by the school.
