How to Craft Motor in Satisfactory

As a seasoned Satisfactory player with countless hours under my belt, I can confidently say that the journey to crafting a motor is one of the most exciting and rewarding experiences in the game. The intricate network of production lines and the sense of accomplishment as you progress through the tiers never fails to impress me.

Initially in the game Satisfactory, your production setup will be quite basic, with just a mining rig, storage unit, smelter, and constructor being necessary. Yet, as you advance to higher levels, the materials needed will grow increasingly intricate, necessitating more buildings and sophisticated automation systems. An example of such a resource is the motor.

To start crafting the motor, you’ll first have to unlock it. Here’s a step-by-step guide for those finding it challenging: Unraveling the process of unlocking and crafting the motor.

How To Unlock Motor In Satisfactory

The motor is a Tier 4 item, locked behind Advanced Steel Production. To unlock Tier 4, players need to complete Phase 1 of the Space Elevator and send off x100 Steel Pipe, x100 Modular Frame, x200 Rotor, and x500 Concrete.

After being activated, this motor becomes versatile, capable of powering a variety of inventions ranging from intricate engine designs and turbo engines, all the way to firearms such as rifles and even jetpacks. When immersed in the extraordinary Sink, the motor awards the player with 1520 points.

To manufacture one motor in the assembly line, you will need twice as many rotors and stators. Establishing a streamlined production system that creates these base components at a steady pace would be ideal to set up a motor factory. Given their importance in numerous designs, investing time and resources into this setup is beneficial.

The Rotor is fairly simple to make, only requiring x5 Iron Rod and x25 Screw. The difficult part of this production is the Stator. To make a Stator, you’ll need x3 Steel Pipe and x8 Wire. Steel Pipes can be made using x3 Steel Ingot. However, to get x3 Steel Ingot, players need to input x3 Iron Ore and x3 Coal into the foundry.

In my gaming experience, cranking out the juice efficiently for an optimal motor setup calls for plenty of power. As for the early to mid-game, coal generators seem like the top choice for generating power.

Initially, players should establish some foundries to produce Steel Ingots. These ingots will subsequently be utilized in a Constructor to fabricate Steel Pipes. The steel pipes will flow into an assembler along with wires to manufacture the Stator. After that, the Stator and Rotor, which are produced separately in another assembler, will combine to form the Motor. To boost the production speed, adjust everything proportionately according to demand. If desired, you can enhance the rate of production for specific parts by scaling up their output at the assembler.
