Okay, so Phasmophobia is already scary enough, right? But now it’s even better! They just dropped a new update that lets you customize your character! It’s awesome – you can finally change how your investigator looks with different outfits and accessories. It’s not just about being terrified of ghosts anymore, you can be terrified in style and actually feel like you’re building a unique character. It adds a whole new layer to the game!
Here’s a guide to customizing your character in Phasmophobia. We’ll cover all the available options and how to unlock even more outfits to make your ghost hunter stand out.
How to Customize Characters in Phasmophobia
- You can customize your character in Phasmophobia by visiting the in-game shop (to the right of the pinboard).
- Inside the in-game shop, you can select the bottom tab that says “Customization”.
In the Customization menu, you can now choose from 12 new investigator models. You can also personalize each model by changing their hair color, adding piercings or glasses, and selecting different accessories.
The middle part of the screen allows you to customize your character’s appearance with options like hats, jackets, shirts, and pants. There’s also a section for outfits that will be available soon.
On the last screen, you can personalize your ID badge by showcasing the badges you’ve unlocked by participating in events, completing challenges, and achieving milestones.
To save your progress, you need to have either purchased and equipped an item, or purchased the item you currently have equipped.
How to Unlock New Clothing Items in Phasmophobia
While the initial customization choices might feel a bit restricted, you can change the colors of your character’s clothes. You’ll unlock even more clothing and accessories by completing challenges, participating in events, earning achievements, and leveling up through Prestige. However, a lot of these extra items aren’t available in the game just yet.
You can unlock all cosmetic items simply by playing the game and participating in events. There are no purchases needed to get more clothing or appearance options.
