EA Sports FC 26 features updated player lists, small improvements to gameplay, and enhancements to popular modes like Ultimate Team, Career mode, and Clubs, giving fans plenty of reasons to play. Dribbling feels smoother and more responsive, though some aspects remain familiar. Low driven shots are still a very effective scoring method, and this guide will show you how to use them to easily find the back of the net in EA Sports FC 26.
How to Score Low Driven Shots in EA FC 26
To take a low, powerful shot, quickly press the B button on Xbox (or the Circle button on PlayStation) twice in a row. First, press and hold the button to charge your shot, then immediately press it again. It may take some practice to get the timing right.
To practice and get comfortable with the timing, you can use the practice arena accessed from the main menu. It’s a relaxed environment where you can learn without pressure.
For a more controlled shot, you can try a finesse shot with minimal power. Hold down the RB/R1 button while pressing the B/Circle button twice. This adds curve to the ball, making it great for shots from the side of the field when you want to bend the ball around the goalkeeper and into the far post.
You can also perform a powerful, low shot by holding down the LB and RB (or L1 and R1) buttons while pressing the B (or Circle) button twice. This will zoom the camera in a little, and if you aim well, the shot will be very difficult for the goalkeeper to save.
Players who are better at shooting naturally excel at low, driven shots and placing them accurately in the corners of the goal. If you’re just starting out in Ultimate Team and using players with lower stats, you might find these types of shots harder to pull off.
Okay, so I’ve been playing a lot, and here’s what I’ve figured out about scoring. When I’m running pretty much straight at the goalie, a normal low driven shot aimed at either bottom corner usually does the trick. But if I’m coming in from the wings, I switch to a low driven finesse shot, aiming for the far post. Honestly, a regular finesse shot works well from out wide too!
Low-powered shots are harder to pull off because they require very precise aiming and quick button presses. It takes practice to master them, but once you do, you’ll be able to score impressive goals from long distances.
To consistently score low, powerful shots, it’s best to use a player who’s both a good shooter and fast. This allows them to get past defenders and create clear opportunities on goal with enough time to accurately place the shot into the corner. Slower players will have a harder time creating space and escaping defenders, making it difficult to get a clean shot off under pressure.
