In Crimson Desert, silver is the primary currency, but it’s earned quite slowly, especially when you first start playing. Luckily, there’s a way to make a lot of silver quickly: the Five-Card game in Beighen Village near Pailune. You don’t even need to learn the rules of the game to win big! The key is to repeatedly reset your game until you get a good hand – a technique called ‘save scumming’. This guide will show you how to earn 300-400 silver per match with this mini-game in Crimson Desert.
How to Farm Silver (Money) with the Five-Card Game in Crimson Desert
Five Cards is a mini-game in Crimson Desert that’s played like Duo in Hernand, but with five cards instead of two. You can find it while traveling north of Hernand City, in the small village of Beighen, located in the Pailune region.
You’ll automatically go to Beighen in Chapter 7: Homecoming, but you can explore the area and play Five-Cards there much earlier if you want.
When you find the Five-Card game shack in Crimson Desert, be sure to manually save your progress before you start playing. You’ll also need at least 150 silver to join a game – that’s the entry fee.
Once you’re seated, you’ll receive five cards. Don’t bother learning the rules – just choose the “All-In” option right away.
Okay, so when I go All-In, my 150 silver goes into the pot. Then I just have to sit and watch what the other players do! The bigger the pot gets depends on how many NPCs are playing and how many of them decide to go All-In with me in this round. Basically, the more people betting big, the bigger the prize!
As you’ve learned in this guide, there are only two ways the Five-Card game can end in Crimson Desert.
- If You Win: Collect all your earnings, leave the table, and save your game. Now you can rest at the bonfire outside the shack, and come back to start another match with new NPCs. Rinse and repeat to fill up your pouch with tons of Silver coins.
- If You Lose: Simply leave the table, and load back to the original save you made before starting the Five-Card game. Now repeat the process all over again till you finally win.
