Ironwing REN-X is a powerful mechanical boss that flies over Delesyia in Crimson Desert, and getting to it is quite challenging. You can’t reach it by flying yourself – you’ll need to either fall from the Eternal Corridor or, preferably, ride a Dragon to get high enough.
Defeating the Ironwing REN-X is a worthwhile challenge. As a reward, you’ll receive the REN-X Surveillance Record, which unveils locations on the Delesyia map, and the Tech Gloves, allowing you to automatically pick locks without needing a key.
We suggest fighting this boss after you’ve unlocked the Dragon. If you fall off Ironwing REN-X, you can simply fly back using the Dragon.
How to Infiltrate & Destroy Ironwing REN-X in Crimson Desert
- Summon your Dragon mount and fly towards Ironwing REN-X, who is far above the sky over the Great Forest in Deleysia’s southeast region (which we’ve tagged on the map above).
- Before dismounting your dragon, try shooting at Ironwing REN-X’s cannons with fireballs so you’re not blasted off, but even if you are thrown off the boss, simply re-summon your Dragon mount to get back on top.
- The objective here is to use Stab (R1+Triangle then R2) on the 6 green orbs across Ironwing REN-X’s wings.
- After all 6 have been destroyed, head to the center of Ironwing REN-X to find a hatch that’s opened up, which you can now enter.
- Inside Ironwing REN-X, you will find the final green orb that you can Stab like the others, which will trigger a cutscene and destroy the mechanical beast.
- Upon its defeat, you will be rewarded with the REN-X Surveillance Record, which can be used to reveal everything on the map in Delesyia.
- You will also be rewarded with the Tech Gloves, which can be used to lockpick doors without a key.
Another way to reach Ironwing REN-X is by attempting to drop down from the Steelsail Archipelago after completing the second Abyss puzzle in the Eternal Corridor. Be aware that this method isn’t very consistent, and you might need to fast travel back if you don’t land correctly.

- The Tech Gloves are rewarded for defeating Ironwing REN-X.
- The Tech Gloves can be equipped just like any ordinary pair of gloves from your inventory.
- While they cannot be upgraded or hold any Abyss Gears, they do hold a specific use that makes keys obsolete, so you should only use them when breaking into places.
- With the Tech Gloves equipped, approach a locked door and press X/A, and the door will be unlocked by the gloves without fail.
- This has a cooldown of 10 minutes (real-time).
