In Romeo is a Dead Man, Bastards are zombie allies you can summon during battles to help Romeo either attack enemies or restore his health. You can increase the number of Bastards you have by collecting Bastard seeds and growing them on The Last Night ship. This guide details all the ways to find those seeds in Romeo is a Dead Man.
How to Get More Bastard Seeds in Romeo is a Dead Man
Bastard Seeds Drop by Defeating Enemies
In Romeo is a Dead Man, you can get more Bastard seeds mainly by defeating enemies. As you play through each chapter and encounter groups of enemies, there’s a chance they’ll drop these seeds when you beat them.
If enemies don’t leave any items behind, you can visit the Space-Time Pharmacy to respawn them and try battling them again. You’ll also get Emerald Flowsion as a reward.
Players looking to get more Bastard seeds can equip the Lost and Found badge. You earn this badge by completing Palace Athene on Easy difficulty for the first time, which becomes available in Chapter 4.
Get Bastard Seeds by Collecting Tesseracts
Throughout the game’s levels, you’ll find hidden Tesseracts. Interacting with them rewards you with Sentries, which can be used to upgrade your equipment, or ingredients for cooking. In the chapter Romeo is a Dead Man, there’s even a chance to find Bastard seeds inside these Tesseracts.
Purchase Bastard Seeds from Shiroyabu
In Romeo is a Dead Man, if you collect enough Emerald Flowsion, you can buy Bastard Seeds of varying rarity from Shiroyabu. He’s a merchant aboard The Last Night ship, and also works as an FBI Space-Time Police agent. Regular Bastard Seeds cost 500 Emerald Flowsion, Rare ones cost 1000, and Epic seeds will cost at least 1500.
How to Plant More Bastards in the Garden
Once you’ve collected several Bastard seeds, take them to Luna in the Garden area of The Last Night ship to have them appraised. After appraisal, you can plant them in the garden patches. However, you’ll start with only two patches, so you won’t be able to grow more than two seeds at the same time.
In Romeo is a Dead Man, you can expand your garden to grow more Bastards by speaking with Luna and accessing the Upgrade menu. There, you can spend 1000 Emerald Flowsion to unlock two extra garden plots. This brings the total number of garden patches available on the Last Night Ship to eight, allowing you to cultivate more Bastard seeds.
