While playing Heartopia, you’ll inevitably find your inventory overflowing with stuff. Old fish, crafting components, and items for quests you finished a long time ago will all pile up, even though the game seems to offer a lot of storage. It fills up surprisingly quickly!
You can store extra items in your house, but space fills up quickly! After adding essential furniture like a bed, stove, and crafting table, you’ll find your house gets cluttered easily. Instead of keeping everything, it’s better to sell things you don’t need. This is an easy way to free up space and earn Gold. Let’s take a look at how selling works in Heartopia.
How to Sell Items in Heartopia

If you want to sell things in Heartopia, you’ll need to find Albert Jr., also known as the Gold Merchant. He buys almost anything you don’t need and gives you Gold in return. At the beginning of the game, you can usually find Albert Jr. close to where you start. If he’s not there, just open your map and look for his icon to see his current location.

After you locate Albert Jr., approach him and choose the ‘Sell Items’ option. This will display your inventory, where you can select the item you want to sell, how many of them, and then confirm. You’ll be able to see the exact selling price before you finalize the transaction.
One of the first tasks in the game, called “Settling Down,” requires you to make 1,200 Gold by selling fish or produce. This is when most players first encounter Albert Jr. As a reward for finishing the quest, you’ll receive five Wishing Stars, 2,000 Gold, and 15 Contribution Medals.
