In Crimson Desert, improving your weapons and armor is key to success, and usually requires collecting lots of materials. However, update 1.01 introduced the Hernand Refinement Token, a special item that lets you instantly upgrade your gear without needing those materials. This guide will show you how to obtain and use the Hernand Refinement Token in Crimson Desert.
How to Use Hernand Refinement Token in Crimson Desert
Okay, so if you want to use a Hernand Refinement Token in Crimson Desert, here’s what I’ve figured out. You need to head to Turnali, the blacksmith, who’s in Hernand City. Then, you go to the refinement menu, pick the armor or weapon you want to improve, and when you get the option, you can choose to use the token instead of materials or a duplicate item. Pretty straightforward!
Choose the Hernand Refinement Token in the Refinement Tokens section and click “Refine” to improve your chosen equipment by one level. This effectively removes the need for crafting materials when refining an item.
Hernand Refinement Tokens offer another option for improving your equipment, but they don’t replace the existing upgrade system. You can still upgrade your gear using materials in Crimson Desert if you prefer not to use the tokens.
The Hernand Refinement Token is useful, but there are a few important things to keep in mind when using it.
- Each use of the Hernand Refinement Token increases your equipment’s level by one.
- Only gear under level 4 can be refined using Hernand Refinement Token.
- If you have an equipment level 4 or above, the option to use Hernand Refinement Token won’t be displayed in the sidebar.
How to Get Hernand Refinement Token in Crimson Desert
You can earn Hernand Refinement Tokens in Crimson Desert by finishing main quests and faction quests in Hernand. Check the Journal tab to see if a quest awards a token – it will be listed at the end of the rewards list if it does.
To get Hernand Refinement Tokens in Crimson Desert, the best approach is to finish Hernand’s main story quests first, and then complete side quests. Currently, you can’t buy these tokens from any shop, but the developers might add a vendor in a future update.
If you earned Hernand Refinement Tokens by finishing a quest before the Crimson Desert update (patch 1.01), you’ll still find those tokens in your inventory.
