In NTE: Neverness to Everness, your Hunter Level is a character-wide stat linked to your Appraiser level. The Appraiser level essentially determines the difficulty of the game and the quality of rewards you receive from completing Anomaly Zones. The most effective way to collect resources (cartridges and consoles) doesn’t begin until you reach Hunter Level 30, so many new players aim to get there quickly. Fortunately, it’s achievable with a bit of focused effort. Here’s how to do it.
All Ways to Increase Hunter Level EXP in NTE
The following are all ways you can get Hunter Level EXP in Neverness to Everness:
- Main quests and side quests.
- Exploration Guide tasks.
- Gifts from 21.
- Anomaly Zones (incl. World Bosses).
- City Tycoon Level Up.
Complete Main and Side Missions
The fastest way to earn Hunter experience in Neverness to Everness is by completing main missions and side quests. The amount of Hunter EXP you receive per quest varies greatly, from 100 EXP for quick tasks to 2000 EXP for more involved ones.
At the beginning of the game, completing these quests will give you the most experience points to raise your Hunter Level. If you finish them all, you’ll quickly reach level 20 or higher.
Exploration Guide Tasks
The Exploration Guide helps you gain Hunter Level experience in several ways. Specifically, Daily Tasks are a fast and easy source of experience, especially when you’re starting out. Keep an eye on these tasks – like upgrading your Arc to Level 1 or sending gifts – because they aren’t things you might normally do, so it’s easy to miss out on the rewards if you don’t check them off!
Besides your Daily Tasks, the Exploration Guide has lots of quick mini-quests. Each one gives you 100 Hunter Level EXP. These quests are broken down into phases. Once you finish all the quests in a phase, you can get bonus rewards and move on to the next set of tasks. This helps you earn a lot of Hunter Level EXP and other goodies in a continuous cycle.
Gifts from 21
In Hethereau City, you’ll find ‘Gifts from 21’ scattered around, acting like small battles. They appear on your map and minimap as little cube-shaped icons.
Imagine these as locked chests you find while exploring in Genshin Impact. When you discover a Gift from 21, you’ll need to defeat the nearby enemies to open it and claim the rewards inside. Each gift gives you +10 Hunter Level EXP. It might not sound like much, but there are many of these Gifts scattered throughout the city, and completing them all adds up to a significant amount of EXP.

Use Character Pixels
In NTE, Character Pixels can be earned by completing anomaly zones and defeating world bosses. These pixels can then be used to get consoles, cartridges, character experience, items to improve characters, and materials needed to progress Espers and Arc characters.
Whenever you use Character Pixels to get a reward from an anomaly encounter, you’ll also gain Hunter Level experience.
As a player, I’ve learned it’s really worth it to spend all your Character Pixels before you log off each day. It’s a nice little bonus, because you can get around 1,200 Hunter Level EXP just for doing that!
The Exploration Guide’s third tab shows you all the areas that need Character Pixels to be cleared.
Level Up City Tycoon
As a City Tycoon fan, I’ve noticed that every time you level up in the game, you get a nice boost to your Hunter Level EXP – usually between 300 and 500, but it depends on how far you’ve progressed. It’s especially great early on because it’s a really efficient way to gain Hunter Level EXP when you’re just starting out!
