Overseeing a city-wide drug operation classified under Schedule 1 can be challenging, but fortunately, you’re not alone in this task. You can employ a diverse workforce within the game, and among them are Botanists who will tend to your plants for you.

Botanists will take care of planting and harvesting plants for the players, freeing up their time for other tasks. But managing workers under Schedule 1 can sometimes be tricky. If you’re unsure about how to utilize your Botanists, here’s a brief guide to assist you.

How to Use Botanists in Schedule 1

In order for your Botanist to start working, you’ll need the following:

  • An unoccupied bed
  • A container with seeds and soil
  • Empty growing plots
  • A container for harvested buds

Step-By-Step Process To Assign & Use Botanists

  1. Assign Botanist to bed.
  2. Fill Botanist’s suitcase with money (at least $200).
  3. While holding your Management Clipboard, press E on your Botanist.
  4. Assign Botanist to a supply shelf containing Soil and Seeds.
  5. Assign Botanist to growing plots (Pots/Tents/Drying Racks).
  6. Configure growing plots (choose what seeds and additives to use).
  7. Set an output destination for each growing plot.

Detailed Guide To Assigning & Using Botanists

First, start by assigning your Botanist to a bed and filling the suitcase on it with money.

You need at least $200 before your Botanist starts working.

First, grab your Management Board and hit ‘E’ while focusing on your Botanist. Here, you’ll find various workstations you can assign to them. To begin with, let’s place them at a supply shelf. This will function as their resource hub for seeds and soil. Since they have their own watering cans, you won’t need to concern yourself with watering duties.

Afterward, delegate your Botanists to the designated plots you wish them to care for. Navigate to the management screen on your clipboard and click ‘Pots/Drying Rack’. Next, simply left-click an empty pot repeatedly as needed until your Botanist has filled all available slots.

At this stage, your employee will commence picking seeds or soil from the designated shelf and proceed to sow them in the assigned growing areas. After the seeds have fully grown, your Botanist will gather the blooms and place them in the containers labeled as their respective destinations for each growing plot. From then on, it’s your responsibility, or any appointed manager you’ve hired, to prepare the harvested cannabis for packaging.

Things to Know About Botanists

  • Like all workers, Botanists will work for as long as they have money in their suitcase.
  • All workers will stop working at 4AM.
  • Botanists leave a ton of trash behind. Consider hiring a Cleaner if possible.
  • Players will not gain any XP for crops harvested by Botanists.
