Here are some easy ways to build your bond with characters in NTE:

Give Them Gifts

As a big fan, I’ve discovered a really quick way to boost your relationships with characters – giving gifts! It’s super easy. Just open the game and head to the ‘Bond’ section on your phone. Then, pick the character you want to give something to, and you’ll see a list of gifts you can choose from. It really works!

I’ve found that giving gifts they really love gives you a big boost in bond points, which is awesome! And if I’m ever stuck trying to find something, I just tap on the item in the game, and it instantly shows me where to get it – seriously helpful! Luckily, you can buy most of these gifts right in the game’s shops.

There are a few restrictions. You can give a total of 10 gifts per day, but you can only give a maximum of three gifts to any single character. This prevents you from overwhelming one character with gifts, even if you’d like to.

Text Messages

You’ll receive texts from some characters occasionally. Responding to these messages is a simple way to strengthen your relationship with them.

Pay attention to messages with a heart icon at the top – those are the ones that earn you bond experience. I recently got a message from Mint asking if I wanted to try some new ice cream. I said yes, and we ended up sharing ice cream together as part of a little bond quest.

Complete Bond Quests

You can also increase your bond with characters by completing their personal quests. These quests are found in the Bond section and often begin simply by talking to the character when you see them around town.

Special Interactions

When Appraisers increase their bond with characters, they’ll gain access to fun interactions like holding hands, hugging, taking pictures, and playing games like rock, paper, scissors.

You can also give characters rides around town. To do this, select the character in the Bond menu and then click the ‘Ride’ button in the lower-left corner of the screen.

Just so you know, you only earn affection points the first time you interact with someone. Doing it again won’t give you any more.
