How to Reach the Security Room as a Security Guard in 007 First Light

The Uninvited mission challenges you to reach the security room, but it’s impossible to do so without sneaking in. You can overcome this by using deception and disguises – specifically, by pretending to be a security guard at the Webb Institute gala.

The ‘Tardy Guard’ is a side mission that lets you disguise yourself as a guard to complete the ‘Always on Duty’ challenge. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you easily complete the challenge and get to the security room with as little trouble as possible.

Once you’re out of the bathroom, go to the front of the bar. With your back to the bartender, turn around and head to the right, toward the staircase. You’ll see two guards blocking a doorway. If you listen closely, you’ll overhear them talking and learn that one of them is missing.

Next, talk to the last security guard. He’ll direct you to the cafe’s security roster, which is located behind the counter. To get there, turn around after speaking with him, walk down the hallway, and turn left at the first opportunity.

Listen in on the conversation at the counter to find out where the laptop password is hidden – it’s in a drawer. Then, use a Poison Dart or Laser Watch to distract one of the female staff members. While she’s distracted, quickly go into the staff-only area, open the drawer visible to customers, and grab the password.

You can find the security schedule on the tablet near the coffee machine. It shows that Harry Sykes didn’t come in for his shift.

Go back to the guard and mention Harry Sykes – this will make him leave his post, giving you a chance to sneak in. Once inside, quickly turn right and squeeze past the crates to stay hidden. You can then break down the exit door and go upstairs.

This approach is a little dangerous, requiring you to bypass or overcome security in the upper area to get to the main security room. But, completing it will unlock the ‘Always on Duty’ challenge.
