The new Whispers of the Wind update is now available! While many are excited to play as Pocahontas, players are also thrilled about Olaf’s Grand Exhibition – a museum where you can finally display all your rare and favorite collectibles.
Okay, so unlocking the museum in Disney Dreamlight Valley is a bit of a challenge! You’ve gotta complete a pretty long quest and collect a whole bunch of stuff before you can actually open the exhibition. I’ve put together a step-by-step guide to help you finish Olaf’s Grand Exhibition quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley – hopefully it makes things a little easier!
Olaf’s Grand Exhibition in Disney Dreamlight Valley
- Talk to Olaf after installing the update.
- He’s already got the museum blueprint ready, and even better, Scrooge McDuck has agreed to build it.
- Head into the Furniture menu, open the Requests tab, and drop the building anywhere you like in the valley.
- Once that’s done, Dreamers will need to go inside and speak with Olaf again. He will explain that the museum has separate rooms for each biome and ask you to follow him over to the Peaceful Meadow room to get started.
- Once you enter the room, Olaf will walk you through how everything works. Each room is split into three parts: Aquarium, Diorama, and Habitat.
The Aquarium is for displaying fish and other sea creatures from the biome. The Diorama tells the story of the biome, showcasing its history and important events. And the Habitat is where you’ll find the adorable animals that live in the valley. We’ll cover how to obtain each of these below.
How to Build the Aquarium in Olaf’s Grand Exhibition
Okay, so when I get to those display cases, there are three podiums right in front of them. That’s where I need to put specific items to open up each area. To get into the Aquarium section, I’ll have to collect some gems first.
- 1x Garnet
- 1x Shiny Garnet
- 1x Onyx
- 1x Peridot
- 1x Shiny Peridot
You can find everything you need in the Peaceful Meadow, as this room is designed around that area. If you haven’t already, gather the necessary materials by mining in the biome. Then, simply interact with the podium and place the gems you’ve collected.
How to Add Fish to the Aquarium
Next, a shimmering scroll will appear beneath the Aquarium. This is where you’ll place the fish. Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1x Bass (fish in white bubbles)
- 1x Bream (fish in blue bubbles)
- 1x Rainbow Trout (fish in white bubbles)
- 1x Catfish (fish in golden bubbles)
If you need more fish, you can find them at any pond in the Peaceful Meadow. The bubbles around the fish show you what kind you’ll catch. Once all the fish are in the Aquarium, you’ll finish that part and receive the Peaceful Meadow Aquarium furniture as a reward.
How to Build the Diorama in Olaf’s Grand Exhibition
The Diorama puzzle is the most challenging part of this room, so expect it to take some time. To begin, you’ll need to unlock the display case by arranging flowers on the podium. Here are the flowers you’ll need:
- 1x Yellow Daisy
- 1x White Daisy
- 1x Red Daisy
- 1x Green Rising Penstemon
- 1x Purple Rising Penstemon.
You can find all the necessary items near Peaceful Meadow, so take a quick look around and collect them. After you have everything, simply interact with the podium and place the flowers there.
Things will become a little more challenging from here on out. Olaf will tell you that the Diorama consists of four separate panels, and each one requires its own unique set of materials. Here’s a list of what you’ll need for each panel:
Forever Fishing Panel:
- 51x Softwood (can be obtained by foraging)
- 31x Seaweed (can be obtained by fishing)
- 5x Red Algae (can be obtained by fishing)
- 16x Dream Shards (can be obtained by digging)
Thorns in Your Side Panel:
- 14x Softwood (can be obtained by foraging)
- 10x Coal Ores (can be obtained by mining)
- 1x Onyx (can be obtained by mining)
- 5x Night Shards (can be obtained by digging)
Friendship Falters Panel:
- 31x Softwood (can be obtained by foraging)
- 24x Stones (can be obtained by mining)
- 2x Garnets (can be obtained by mining)
- 3x Peridots (can be obtained by mining)
Knock Knock Panel:
- 67x Softwood (can be obtained by foraging)
- 21x Soil (can be obtained by digging)
- 5x Rich Soil (can be obtained by digging)
- 7x Dream Shards (can be obtained by digging)
Once you’ve gathered all the materials, return to the Diorama and add them to each panel. Once all four panels are finished, you’ll have completed the Diorama section for the Peaceful Meadow room.
Players will receive the Peaceful Meadow Diorama Pillar, Mirabel, Goofy, and Thorns as a reward.
How to Build the Habitat in Olaf’s Grand Exhibition
Finally, let’s look at the Habitat section. To begin, you’ll need to unlock the display case by placing some items on the podium.
- 1x Apple
- 1x Raspberry
- 1x Basil
- 1x Lettuce
- 1x Carrot
- 1x Wheat.
You can easily find most of these items in Peaceful Meadow. Apples and raspberries grow naturally on trees and bushes, and the remaining items are either lying around to collect or can be grown quickly.
After setting everything up, the Habitat opens, allowing you to add animals. Because this is the Peaceful Meadow room, you’ll need to include creatures that naturally live in that environment.
How to Add Animals to the Habitat
This step can take a little longer, especially if you haven’t become friends with the animals yet. Once you’re friendly with them, you can add them to your Habitat. In the Peaceful Meadow, we currently have five different types of rabbits.
- Black Rabbit
- Classic Rabbit
- Brown Rabbit
- Calico Rabbit
- White Rabbit.
To make a rabbit your friend, give it its favorite food two times. Once you do that, you can move it into its home. Here’s how to feed your rabbit:
| Rabbit Variant | Schedule | Favorite Foods |
|---|---|---|
| Black Rabbits | 12 AM – 12 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays | Carrots |
| Classic Rabbits | 12 PM – 12 AM on Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays | Carrots |
| Brown Rabbits | 12 PM – 12 AM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays | Carrots |
| Calico Rabbits | 8 AM – 2 PM on Thursdays | Carrots |
| White Rabbits | 12 AM – 12 PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays | Carrots |
After completing the Peaceful Meadow room, you can begin decorating the Dazzle Beach room.
