Justin Sun, creator of Tron and a prominent figure in cryptocurrency, recently suggested through his official account on the X social media platform (previously known as Twitter), that he might potentially challenge Elon Musk’s influence in the crypto world by proposing an acquisition of TikTok.
Justin Sun says he could offer to buy TikTok
According to recent news reports, Chinese officials are contemplating offering TikTok’s U.S. branch to tech entrepreneur Elon Musk, who currently heads X – a platform appreciated by people across various industries, including cryptocurrency enthusiasts and meme lovers worldwide.
Justin Sun, from Tron, reacted to a post by a user on the X platform who suggested that no one in the cryptocurrency world has yet stepped forward to buy TikTok. He tweeted, “This could be a powerful move.” He further proposed, “Perhaps we can gather someone like Justin Sun or a group of large investors (whales) and bring this about.” The user thinks that such an action would significantly advance the cryptocurrency realm in various ways.
In this scenario, a minimal favorable shift could potentially occur, whereby the suppression of crypto-related content ceases on this platform and its dissemination expands beyond current levels. Nonetheless, numerous individuals have expressed dissatisfaction with this social media video application due to its subpar content quality, and some would even welcome its termination within the United States.
Alright, I could just offer to acquire TikTok, and everything would be resolved.

Sun shared this tweet and responded with: “I suppose I could propose buying TikTok, and all issues would be settled then.
TikTok could be shut down in the US on Sunday
Earlier today, Anthony Pompliano, an angel investor and Bitcoin enthusiast, tweeted a statement predicting that TikTok will disable its US apps this Sunday unless the Supreme Court intervenes. The court is currently weighing the legal issues surrounding a law that requires ByteDance, TikTok’s Chinese parent company, to either sell its American division or face a ban in the United States.
Is there a possibility that TikTok may deactivate its app in the U.S. on Sunday, should the Supreme Court not intervene?

On social media, Pompliano (commonly known as Pomp) initiated a poll to gather the community’s thoughts on which scenario they think is more probable. So far, approximately half of the participants, around 49.8%, anticipate that TikTok apps will not be shut down in the US. Conversely, about 36.4% believe it may happen. The poll has garnered responses from less than 2,000 individuals thus far.
