Once James has the mission details from the bathroom, he’ll need to investigate Joshua Pike in the “A Night Out” chapter of 007 First Light. Your first goal is to get to Pike in the upstairs lounge, and there are multiple ways to do so. Here’s how to access the lounge in 007 First Light.

How to Get a Stamp & Use the Main Staircase (‘The Stamp’ Route)

Okay, so I found out if you try heading straight for the upstairs lounge, a bouncer stops you and asks for “The Stamp.” Basically, you need to be on the guest list to get in – that’s what the stamp proves. You gotta have your name down to get past him.

Okay, so first I had to head over to the counter across from the bathroom – that’s where James takes down the angry boyfriend. I talked to the guy working there, and he told me James needs to be on the guest list to get a stamp. That stamp is the key to getting into the lounge upstairs, apparently.

Just to the left of the counter, there’s a corridor that you’ll need to follow to the end. There will be an eavesdrop opportunity at the back, which will give the name “Jones.”

After you’ve finished talking to the first person, go back to the counter near the bathrooms and speak with another character, voiced by Jacksepticeye. Simply tell him you are Jones, and he’ll give James a stamp that unlocks access to the upstairs lounge in 007 First Light using the main staircase.

How to Climb to the Upstairs Lounge (‘Above and Beyond’ Route)

During Joshua Pike’s investigation, players can reach the upstairs lounge by climbing up from the main dance floor. Look for a chance to overhear a conversation near the wall – a couple will mention someone sneaking upstairs through backstage to get free drinks, revealing how to do it yourself.

Once you’ve figured out the clue, head to the right side of the stage where the DJ is and squeeze through the narrow opening. As soon as you’re backstage, turn left. You can then climb over some equipment to reach the upstairs lounge in 007 First Light.

How to Use the Backstairs Behind the Bar (‘Staff Only’ Route)

There’s a straightforward way to reach the upstairs lounge, but it involves James briefly going where he’s not supposed to – through a staff-only area. You’ll learn about this option by talking to Nash, who will mention there are backstairs located behind the bar.

Go back to the bar where you met the MI6 agent. You’ll see a door to the staff-only area. There’s a guard standing right in front of it. Use the Dart Phone on the guard to make them feel dizzy. Once they’re sick, quickly go through the door into the staff area.

Once you’re inside, crouch and carefully sneak past the person at the table. After you get to the other side, go up the stairs – these will lead you to a back exit and into the upstairs lounge in 007 First Light.

How to Complete Hacking Joshua Pike’s Phone in 007 First Light

Once you get to the upstairs lounge, you’ll need to hack Joshua Pike’s phone while playing 007 First Light to find out more about what he’s been up to. Use your Q-Watch to start hacking and make sure to stay near him while you do it.

Don’t worry, even if you bump into Joshua, he won’t suspect a thing.

He’ll be moving around the dance floor while James is busy with his phone, but he’ll eventually go into a section James can’t access because of the security guard.

To hack the phone, head to the door just to the left of the security guard. It’s next to the bar. Go through it to enter a restricted area. Then, follow the hallway until you can climb over the platforms and get near Joshua Pike.

You’ll find yourself in a hallway with a view of Joshua Pike through a window. From this distance, the hacking process can continue and finish successfully. Completing the hack will finalize the “Investigate Joshua Pike” mission in 007 First Light and allow the story to move forward.
