The fans deserve more, and I am overjoyed that they will have more to immerse themselves in. After all, it’s their love for the series that made it endure through the years.

Cast Confirmed for Dexter: Resurrection

In recent times, there has been a revival of the Dexter series. The latest addition, Dexter: New Blood, which ran from November 2021 to January 2022, saw Michael Hall reprise his role as Dexter. After this, a prequel series titled Dexter: Original Sin was released in late 2024 and concluded earlier this month. Although he wasn’t physically present, Hall provided the narration for the series.

As a passionate movie critic, I’m thrilled to share that the much-anticipated continuation of the gripping tale known as “Dexter: Resurrection” was officially unveiled at Comic-Con in 2024! Unlike the enigmatic mastermind behind the camera, Timothy Carpenter, this time around, the story unfolds in the present day.

However, fear not, dear fans, as other cherished characters from the Dexterverse will be making a comeback. The exceptional Michael C. Hall is set to reprise his award-winning role as Dexter Morgan, the complex vigilante serial killer who continues to captivate audiences.

Joining him is the inimitable David Zayas, who will once again breathe life into the character of Angel Batista. Although he made a brief appearance in “New Blood“, his role in “Dexter: Resurrection” promises to be more substantial, as he reconnects with the main ensemble.

Intriguingly, we learned in “New Blood” that Batista, a longstanding pillar of Miami Metro’s homicide division, had ascended to the rank of Captain of Homicide and discovered Dexter’s miraculous survival. The question now is: how will this revelation impact their relationship in “Dexter: Resurrection“? The suspense is almost unbearable!

In the new series “Dexter: Resurrection,” James Remar will once again play the character of Harry Morgan, who served as Dexter’s adoptive father and ethical compass. Previously, Christian Slater portrayed a younger version of Harry in “Dexter: Original Sin.” Now, Remar is returning to his role after having been absent since before the timeline of the original series. Despite his death prior to the events depicted in Dexter, Harry has continued to appear as a guiding presence within Dexter’s thoughts, a role that Remar is expected to reprise in this upcoming installment.
