Gege Akutami and Yuji Iwasaki put a lot of effort into the recent release of Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 3. The volume includes a lot of new details about the characters, especially Yuji, who plays a major role in chapters 17 through 25.

Fans were surprised to learn more about the original manga’s main character, especially his new title as ‘The Strongest.’ According to creator Gege Akutami, Yuji Itadori is officially the strongest character in the Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo timeline, years after the Sukuna Raid and Gojo Satoru’s death.
New Character Information In Modulo Volume 3 Also Classifies Yuji As A Special Grade Sorcerer
Recent updates in Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 3 confirm that Yuji Itadori has officially been recognized as a Special Grade Sorcerer. This makes him the fifth character to achieve this high ranking, joining Gojo Satoru, Geto Suguru, Yuta Okkotsu, and Yuki Tsukumo.
Considering the abilities Yuji Itadori demonstrated in the Shinjuku Showdown, particularly during his fight with Sukuna, it’s clear he’s reached Special Grade status. He’s now powerful enough to potentially threaten an entire country. Plus, since he’s stopped aging, his power seems limitless, making him an incredibly compelling character.

All Cursed Techniques And Abilities Of Adult Yuji In Modulo
In volume 3 of the Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo manga, creator Gege Akutami revealed more about Yuji Itadori’s abilities and confirmed his status as the strongest sorcerer. Akutami explained that Yuji’s near immortality comes from eating the Death Paintings during the month-long gap between the Culling Game and the Shinjuku Showdown arcs. By consuming Death Paintings 4 through 9 while training, Yuji became a mix of human and cursed spirit, which has stopped his body from aging normally.

Just to clarify, Yuji isn’t immortal – he just ages very slowly. The manga, specifically chapter 25 of JJK Modulo, confirms he’s expected to live for around 300 years. Besides his slowed aging, Yuji Itadori also gained the ability to control blood after consuming the Death Paintings. He first used this power in chapter 19 of JJK Modulo, and he has complete mastery over it.
Yuji has fully mastered the Shrine technique, allowing him to unleash incredibly powerful attacks, as seen in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo chapter 20. Over time, he’s also gained exceptional control over his cursed energy, learning techniques like Reverse Cursed Technique and barrier manipulation. He can utilize the New Shadow Style and even create a Domain Expansion. As an adult, Yuji Itadori has become a remarkably well-rounded and powerful sorcerer, rightfully earning his reputation as the strongest in the current era.
