Gege Akutami’s manga, Jujutsu Kaisen, quickly became popular worldwide when it first came out. The main story ended in 2024 with the Shinjuku Showdown arc. However, Akutami, along with Yuji Iwasaki, followed it up in 2025 with a new sequel called Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. This shorter series ran for six months in Weekly Shonen Jump and recently finished its run.
Even though the manga and anime season have finished, there’s hope for more Jujutsu Kaisen! A significant announcement is scheduled for April 27, 2026, and fans won’t want to miss it.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Will Get Brand New Information Revealed On April 27
Shonen Jump, published by Shueisha, is the most popular magazine for action manga globally. Both Jujutsu Kaisen and its spin-off, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, have been featured in its pages. With Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo concluding on March 6, 2026, fans were eager for updates about the series. Finally, some new information has been released.
Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen should mark April 27th, 2026, on their calendars! That’s when Jump Press, a big event known for revealing news about popular series, is scheduled to take place. Jujutsu Kaisen is expected to be featured, as a recent promotional poster included a symbol connected to the series – Yuta’s ring. This is particularly exciting because the ring is important to the ‘JJK Modulo’ arc, which focuses on Yuta’s grandchildren, Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu.

As a fan following the series, it seems likely this reveal on April 27th will focus on the final volume of Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo – Volume 3. I’m guessing we might see a teaser or the cover art. With Volume 3 set to release in Japan on May 1st, now is a great time to start promoting it. There’s even a chance this release could include an extra chapter, similar to what happened with the main Jujutsu Kaisen manga. That bonus chapter could give us some crucial updates on what happens to Yuka, Tsurugi, Maru, Cross, and Dabura. It’s really exciting for fans like me who are looking forward to buying the final volume! Just a heads-up, though – this release is currently only planned for Japan, so those of us waiting for the English version will have to be patient.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo has seen strong sales figures recently, demonstrating the series’ high quality. Both volumes one and two have been bestsellers in Japan, and the second volume recently achieved an impressive feat: it ranked second in sales, just behind One Piece Volume 114, with over 390,000 copies sold.
The first volume of Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo, released just last week, has already sold over 190,000 copies. The second volume did even better, exceeding 200,000 copies sold. Now, fans are eager to see how the third volume will perform without the benefit of weekly releases.
Fans are hoping for more than just new chapters of the manga. Unfortunately, there are currently no plans to animate Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. An animated version of Modulo can’t happen until the main Jujutsu Kaisen anime finishes, and that likely won’t be for several years. At the soonest, it could take until 2029 for the entire manga to be adapted, and only then would they consider starting a Modulo adaptation.
Good news for Jujutsu Kaisen fans: Season 4 is expected to arrive in 2027! While a specific release date hasn’t been announced, many are hoping it will premiere in early winter. Plus, there’s a chance creator Gege Akutami may start a new manga project soon, according to comments from both him and his editor. Fans are eagerly anticipating what comes next for the franchise, whether it’s more anime or a brand new manga series from Gege.
