Adobe, a well-known software company specializing in content solutions, has announced that it’s exploring the integration of third-party generative AI tools from OpenAI and other tech firms into its widely used video editing tool, Premiere Pro. Adobe Relies On Firefly

Based on a new study, Adobe, a software company based in California, intends to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities into its video editing software, Premiere Pro. This integration will be powered solely by Firefly, Adobe’s native AI system. These AI features allow Premiere Pro to independently add objects to scenes or remove distractions without extensive hands-on involvement from video editors.

Significantly, Adobe’s Photoshop software currently includes Firefly, helping users edit photos. With the upcoming merger, it seems Adobe is preparing for a groundbreaking enhancement.

Amidst intense competition from OpenAI, Midjourney, and others, Adobe aims to set itself apart by teaching its AI using exclusive data and providing users with protection against copyright infringement claims. Deepa Subramaniam, Vice President of Product Marketing for Adobe’s creative professional apps, shared that Adobe is still undecided about the revenue sharing model for third-party AI tools on its software platform between the company and external developers. She assured users that they will be informed when they are not utilizing Adobe’s “commercially safe” AI models. Moreover, Premiere Pro videos will display which AI technology was employed in their creation.
