Leaked LEGO Pokemon Set Should Have Fans Breathing a Sigh of Relief

New pictures online show another LEGO Pokémon set that includes the special “Smart Brick” technology. This confirms that LEGO will be including the Smart Brick in more than just one of its upcoming Pokémon sets, easing worries that it would be limited to a single release.

LEGO began releasing Pokémon sets in January 2026, coinciding with the introduction of their new Smart Play line. Although these two product lines haven’t connected yet, recent information suggests that over six Pokémon sets designed to work with LEGO’s sensor-equipped bricks are planned for release later in the year. Previous reports have indicated that while these sets will be compatible with the Smart Play system, the Smart Brick itself – the piece that adds the sensor functionality – will be sold separately.

Leaked Jolteon vs Charizard LEGO Set Includes Two Smart Bricks

Fans in the Brick Tap community have put worries to rest by sharing a first look at the new LEGO Charizard vs. Jolteon Ultimate Battle set. Leaked images of the packaging reveal the set, numbered 72167, includes two ‘Smart Bricks’ and four ‘Smart Tags.’ A charger is also included, and it can charge both Smart Bricks at the same time.

The “72167 Charizard vs Jolteon Ultimate Battle” set is the second LEGO Pokemon release, and it’s rumored to include at least one “Smart Brick.” A Pikachu-shaped house set with a Smart Brick first appeared online in December 2025, and was later confirmed to be called “Pikachu’s Training House” with a price of $69.99. That set is expected to have around 400 pieces. The new Charizard vs Jolteon set has 751 pieces and includes two Smart Bricks, so it’s likely to cost around $140.

Throughout spring 2026, images of packaging for several new LEGO Pokémon sets – part of the Smart Play line – began appearing online. These include sets like 72159 Jigglypuff Concert, 72166 Cubone and Gengar’s Spooky Showdown, and 72157 Charmander and Geodude’s Cavern Clash. While these sets won’t use LEGO’s Smart Bricks, each one will include at least one Smart Tag.

The next collection of LEGO Pokémon sets should be available in stores on August 1, 2026. We can probably expect announcements about these new sets soon, potentially around mid-to-late June, to give fans time to pre-order them. LEGO recently faced criticism for leaving out interactive “Smart Bricks” from many of its popular Star Wars sets, and it’s unclear if they’ll make the same choice with the Pokémon line.
