Rumors suggest a large collection of LEGO Pokémon sets will launch on August 1, 2026. While the LEGO and Pokémon partnership has been going well, currently only a few different Pokémon characters are available as LEGO sets. Although popular with fans, Dratini, Dragonair, and Dragonite aren’t expected to be included in the 2026 releases. However, dedicated fans might enjoy building their own Dratini models to tide them over until the new sets arrive.
Custom LEGO Pokemon Dratini Build From 3-in-1 Dolphin Set
A Reddit user, Willing_Rip_6838, recently shared photos of an impressive LEGO Dratini they built. Remarkably, they used only pieces from the LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Sea Animals: Beautiful Dolphins set, which is scheduled to be released in January 2026. Since the set already includes instructions for building a seahorse – similar in shape to the Pokémon Dratini – the user was able to create a surprisingly detailed and accurate model.

This LEGO creation features a detailed Dratini, complete with its signature horn, well-proportioned body, and fins. The builder, Willing_Rip_6838 (also known as stimulant_6 on Rebrickable), has shared instructions for recreating the model for just $6. You only need the base LEGO set, which usually costs $49.99 but is currently available for $39.99 on Amazon. This highlights the set’s versatility, as another fan successfully used it to build a Millennium Falcon!
While upcoming LEGO Pokémon sets for 2026 are starting to be revealed – including Jigglypuff, Gengar, Cubone, Charmander, Geodude, Mew, Bidoof, and Garchomp, as well as Munchlax and Croagunk – sets featuring Dratini, Dragonair, and Dragonite could also be released at a later date.
