Terra Luna Classic Update: The latest v3.1.5 update on Terra Luna Classic is now complete, bringing about enhancements such as a vital security patch for wasmd, increased transaction efficiency, and readiness for the implementation of Tax2Gas. Leading cryptocurrency exchange Binance has endorsed the security upgrade on Terra Luna Classic.

LUNC News: Terra Luna Classic Completes v3.1.5 Upgrade

On September 18th, developers of Terra Luna Classic successfully implemented the security patch from wasmd within the v3.1.5 update. The network paused at block height 19,850,000 while they applied a pull request for the terrad client. This upgrade, initiated at 11:26:59 UTC by validator Interstellar Lounge, was the fastest chain upgrade on record.

With this upgrade, Terra Classic has advanced wasmd to version 0.46 and wasmvm to version 1.5.4. This update incorporates the modifications from version 3.1.4 as well. Notably, the fix for gas estimation in taxable transactions found in version 3.1.4 was exclusively released to endpoint providers because it did not involve changes relevant to consensus.

Binance has declared that it will assist in the update for Terra Luna Classic. To facilitate this update and deliver an optimal user experience, deposits and withdrawals of Terra Luna Classic tokens have been temporarily halted on the exchange. Additionally, Binance regularly destroys billions of LUNC tokens each month as part of its commitment to help the community’s efforts to rejuvenate LUNC.

Over the past two years, Binance, a renowned cryptocurrency exchange, has incinerated approximately 64.47 billion LUNC tokens. This action represents about 48.5% of all LUNC tokens that have been destroyed collectively by the community.

LUNC and USTC Prices Fell On Wider Market Sentiment

Even though there was some good news, the price of LUNC decreased by 1.74% over the past day, erasing most of its gains. The lowest and highest prices within this period were $0.00007942 and $0.00008332 respectively. There’s been a noticeable uptick in trading volume for LUNC, with a 25% increase observed over the past 24 hours, suggesting heightened activity among traders.

Currently, USTC is being traded at $0.01645, representing a 1% decrease over the last day and an 8% drop within the past week. The lowest it reached in the last 24 hours was $0.01633, while the highest point was $0.01711. Meanwhile, USTC futures open interests have fallen by 3.35% over the last day and a further 0.84% within the past hour.
