As a long-time Marvel fan and avid gamer, I can’t contain my excitement for the latest addition to the Marvel Rivals roster: the enigmatic Adam Warlock! Having grown up reading the Fantastic Four comics where Warlock made his debut back in 1967, it’s surreal to see him come to life in this innovative team-based hero shooter.

In the latest trailer for “Marvel Rivals,” the team-oriented hero shooter game, we get an exciting peek at cosmic character Adam Warlock in action. While his addition to “Marvel Rivals” was previously announced, this is the first opportunity for fans to truly see what powers he’ll bring to the game.

Stan Lee and Jack Kirby teamed up to introduce Warlock in September 1967’s “Fantastic Four” #66, but back then, this cosmic being was merely called “Him,” a lab-created entity by Earth scientists as a potential advancement for human evolution. It wasn’t until “Marvel Premiere” #1 in April 1972 that Warlock adopted the name Adam Warlock. While Marvel film fans might recognize him from “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” where he initially clashes with the team before eventually joining their side.

On May 30, it was unveiled that Warlock would join the cast of Marvel Rivals. This revelation came alongside the announcement of Venom. Although Venom had received his own character trailer a week prior, Warlock’s trailer was released on July 19. In this trailer, Warlock is depicted as a Strategist character, utilizing his cosmic abilities to heal teammates and inflict damage through swift blasts and powerful charges. Additionally, he seems capable of assuming an incorporeal form to unleash an area-of-effect assault and even revive several allies simultaneously.
