A major update for Pokémon Legends: Z-A is launching soon, coinciding with the end of Ranked Battles Season 10 on May 13th at 7 PM Pacific Time / 10 PM Eastern Time. After ten seasons, players are likely familiar with how Ranked Battles work, but should know that their rank will reset to Rank Z with the update.
Okay, so if you’re just starting out with Ranked Battles in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, you should know each season usually lasts about three weeks. Season 10 started right after Season 9 ended on April 22nd, and we can expect the same thing to happen with Season 11 on May 13th. Basically, one season rolls right into the next, so if you’re trying to reach a certain rank, make sure you get it done before the cutoff! Season 11 is also going to bring some new stuff, so I’m excited about that.

Players are rewarded for every battle they fight, and they also have a chance to earn Mega Stones. Most long-time players already have these, but they’ll be available again in Season 11. We’re still deciding exactly which ones, but based on previous seasons, it will likely include Greninjite, Delphoxite, Chesnaughtite, Baxcalibrite, Sceptilite, Swampertite, and Blazikenite.
The Biggest Change in Pokemon Legends: Z-A Season 11?
One of the biggest changes coming in Pokemon Legends: Z-A Season 11 might be how the game’s competitive scene, or ‘meta,’ works. It’s possible this season will be like Season 8, which limited the Pokemon players could use in Ranked Battles. While not confirmed, Season 10 only banned seven powerful Pokemon, some from the Mega Dimensions DLC. Many players are hoping for a bigger shake-up to the meta, as Ranked Battles have become somewhat predictable. With rewards feeling repetitive and the current meta well-established, a more extensive ban list could encourage players to try new strategies and Pokemon.
It’s still uncertain what’s next, but May 13th promises to be a packed day for fans. They’ll be finishing up Season 10, reaching their desired rank to claim rewards, and then jumping into Season 11. Many will also be strategizing and building teams to prepare for the new season. Until then, players have time to get everything done and be ready.
