  • Mirio’s insecurity is depicted at Quirk Counseling.
  • Students overcome fears through Mirio’s help.

Togata Mirio or Lemillion had been one of the candidates who could receive One For All from All Might. As Sir Nighteye’s sidekick, his optimistic personality and eccentric humor led to the possibility of Mirio replacing All Might as the new Symbol of Peace.

Despite the expectations, Mirio remains dedicated to saving others, hence his hero name, “Lemillion,” seeking to save as many people as possible. However, throughout the series, Mirio experiences Quirklessness and thus seeks assistance from Eri with her Rewind Quirk. Therefore, Mirio plays a significant role in the Final War; however, what happens to Mirio after the war in My Hero Academia?

The Events Leading Towards The End of the War

Mirio’s Role Was The Messenger Between Teams and Stall Time For Deku To Arrive

Saga Final Act
Arc Final War
Chapters 343 – 424

As the battle with Shigaraki Tomura continued to rage on within U.A.’s Floating Fortress, the heroes that had been sent to battle Shigaraki faced an overwhelming defeat, even with Shigaraki’s Quirk being canceled thanks to Monoma Neito copying Eraser head’s Quirk: Eraser. Though it may have seemed all was lost as Bakugo continued to take powerful blows, which ended with his arm broken, Togata Mirio joined the fight midway through the battle.

Mirio had previously lost his Quirk: Permeation, during the Shie Hassaikai arc and the battle with Overhaul, as he was struck by one of the Quirk-Destroying Bullets. However, after six months of training, Eri can use her Quirk: Rewind, to restore Mirio’s Quirk to his full capacity in Chapter 292. Mirio had not been part of the battle line-up tasked to defeat Shigaraki; instead, thanks to his mobility, Mirio was tasked to be a messenger and had bodyguard duty. However, due to the severity of the situation, Mirio joined the battle with Nejire and Tamaki, once again forming the Big Three.

It seemed like he was pausing back there, didn’t it? Nevertheless, we can’t delay him unless there’s a strong offensive move to anticipate. That’s the reason…

In the confrontation with Shigaraki, Mirio successfully delayed the engagement by challenging Shigaraki’s motives, inquiring why he was exerting himself to annihilate everything in his vicinity, and asserting that it stemmed from Shigaraki’s lack of friendships. This assertion greatly astonished Shigaraki, who fervently proclaimed that he indeed had friends. Mirio’s strategy was to provide Tamaki sufficient time to execute his Ultimate Move: Vast Hybrid: Plasma Cannon; however, the impact was minimal.

Bakugo soon rejoins the battle and takes a devastating blow to the chest, which nearly causes Midoriya Izuku to rage. However, Mirio was able to calm the current One For All user down and stall enough time for Midoriya to rejoin and turn the tides of the battle, after which he attended to the injured.

What Happens To Mirio After The Final War?

Mirio Achieves His Dream of Becoming the No.1 Pro Hero

A week after the Final War, all U.A. High School students returned to class after receiving the necessary medical attention at the hospital. In Chapter 425, the third-year students graduate from U.A. High School with a late ceremony, given the country’s state due to the battle with Shigaraki and All For One. In this chapter, we learn that Mirio assisted with the rescue efforts and stayed by Tamaki and Nejire’s side after they were defeated in U.A.’s Flying Coffin.

A world without humor has no bright future. So a world of ‘pluses,’ a world where everyone can spend their days smiling… is our real finish line.

As the foremost student at the school, Mirio, also known as Lemillion, delivered a formal address as the representative for the graduates. In contrast to his typical approach, he commenced his speech without a humorous anecdote, instead directly proceeding to a poignant reflection that summarized the events and expressed gratitude to the students who participated in the recent conflict.

Mirio, full of determination and a noble spirit, concluded his speech with a heartfelt promise to strive tirelessly to become an exceptional hero, aiming to provide everyone with happiness in their lives. In a quiet moment, he asked Nighteye to guard him as he embarked on the path of a Pro Hero. As the third-year students left with excitement and anticipation, ready to start their own hero careers.

Eight years after the Final War and after Mirio graduated from U.A. High School, he became the Number 1 Pro Hero on the Hero Billboard Chart JP. While Mirio is the top hero on the Hero Billboard Chart, Todoroki Shoto has recently become the Number 2 Pro Hero. Midoriya Izuku notes that the two would be battling “toe to toe” for the top spot.

After eight years as a Pro Hero, Mirio has become more muscular and now sports a pompadour hairstyle to suit his comedic personality. In Chapter 431, Mirio is seen with Tamaki and Nejire, assisting Uravity’s Quirk Counseling. Not much has changed about Mirio, as he still cracks jokes for everyone around him.

  • Mirio or Lemillion is ranked the Number 1 Pro Hero.
  • Nejire or Nejire-Chan is currently ranked Number 7.
  • Tamaki or Suneater remains Fat Gum’s sidekick and enjoys supporting the Pro Hero.

As the top Pro Hero, I find myself in a unique position of influence, yet during Uravity’s Quirk Counseling session aimed at improving the children’s communication skills, I can’t help but feel a touch of unease about their potential fascination with me. This slight insecurity surfaces as I engage them in a playful game, daring them to catch me – a challenge one student manages to conquer, catching me off guard.

As a result, the child who initially struggled with self-confidence was able to make friends with his peers, overcoming his shyness about communication, leading to a positive counseling outcome. Later on, Mirio engages in playtime with the other children, while Nejire and Tamaki chat with Uraraka and Tsuyu.

My Hero Academia is now available to stream on Crunchyroll.
