Mixtape features 26 achievements and 27 trophies (including a Platinum one) for players to unlock. If you enjoy completing games fully, or simply want to support this 1980s-inspired story, this guide will show you how to earn every trophy and achievement.

Mixtape Trophy and Achievement Guide

Achievement/Trophy Description How to Get
The Sound of the Future Unlock all trophies. Get every other trophy/ achievement in the list. This is the Platinum trophy for PlayStation players.
Goodbye Stacey’s Room Complete all memories in Rockford’s room. Automatically unlocks after completing Chapter 2: Rockford’s House.
Matching The Drapes Complete all memories in Cassandra’s room. Automatically unlocks after completing Chapter 13: Cassandra’s House.
Eight Minute Odyssey Complete all memories in Slater’s room. Automatically unlocks after completing Chapter 25: Slater’s House.
Last Song Complete the game. Automatically unlocks after completing Chapter 30: Finale. It took me about three hours to complete the game and earn this trophy/achievement.
Thrashed Ollie a car. During any of the skating sections, press A/X as a car approaches you to jump over it. Look for smaller cars as these are much easier to jump over.
Front to Back Find everything in the bedrooms and all the unique conversions. This requires you to complete all interactions and conversations across Rockford’s, Debbie’s, Cassandra’s, and Slater’s bedrooms. Interact with each item with a white-colored circle and speak to each character before you interact with the yellow-circled item every time to ensure you get this. Full guide coming soon.
French Connection Kiss for 60 seconds. In Chapter 3: The Kiss, sit in the scene for a minimum of 60 seconds with the tongues on the screen. You don’t need to move them around, but feel free if you want to gross yourself out a bit. When you select ‘That’s Enough’ the achievement/trophy will unlock.
Smooth Shopper Don’t crash once while escaping in the shopping cart. In Chapter 5: Shopping Cart Bomb, avoid crashing into a wall or any cars as you go. It’s ok if you knock into some of the boxes in the alley or traffic cones, as I unlocked the achievement when I hit the boxes right near the start of this scene.
Grunge Metal Alchemist Make Slater’s secret slushy recipe. In Chapter 8: Ultimate Slushie, mix Blue Crush, Bubblegum, Lime, and Orange. You can learn where to find the secret recipe in our guide.
Cone Island, Baby. Knock over 10 traffic cones during the skate from Rockford’s house. During Chapter 11: Skate to Cassandra’s, steer yourself into 10 different traffic cones.
Skim Gordon Throw a stone through the tyre swing. There’s a tire swing on the right side of the lake in Chapter 12: Skipping Stones. Aim your reticle up and towards the top and middle of the tire and hold RT/R2 to charge your throw.
Instructions Not Required Complete minimaster assembly in under 15 seconds. In Chapter 13: Cassandra’s House, you’ll need to repair the minimaster. To do this quickly, immediately flip it over, remove the battery cover, correctly insert two batteries (look for the + and – icons), replace the battery cover, turn it back over, and press the ‘On’ button (on the left). It sounds like a lot, but it’s pretty easy.
And It’s Outta There! Hit only home runs as Cassandra. In Chapter 14: Softball, make sure you get the timing right when batting as Cassandra. As long as you make a connection with the ball, you’ll get a home run. Use Rockford’s attempts at the beginning of this chapter to get a feeling for the timing. If you make a mistake, start the chapter again.
Triple Ply Throw 50 rolls at the house. During Chapter 15: Toilet Paper Attack, just throw 50 rolls at the principal’s house. Keep going until the trophy/ achievement pops, rather than exiting the scene when you’re given the option to.
It’s the Pigs, Darling Hit 3 pig balloons. In Chapter 16: Floating on Sadness, move Rockford into each of the big pig balloons as you’re floating through the air. This is towards the end of the scene. This can easily be done by just not touching the controller, as you’ll automatically hit the pig balloons this way.
Don’t. Move. Take 20 photos in Bodacious Cretaceous. During Chapter 18: Bodacious Cretaceous, use the minimaster to take 20 photos. You can just spam this the first chance you get to immediately unlock the trophy/ achievement if you’re not bothered about what the photos are.
Appetite for Destruction Explode all objects on your way to the secret hideout. In Chapter 19: Skateboard Explosion, use LT/L2 and RT/R2 to explode items as you’re on your skateboard. I just kept pressing the trigger buttons whenever I saw any item pop up and unlocked this on the first attempt. You can also just mash the triggers to make sure you don’t miss any.
Paint it, Black, If You Want Paint the entire door in under 30 seconds. In Chapter 21: Door Painting, use the large paint roller and hold down RT/R2 to do large vertical lines of paint. My top tip is to move the roller right into the bottom left corner of the door, and then go up, move the roller so there’s maybe a tiny bit of overlap to the bit you just painted, and move across the door this way. This ensures you don’t miss any tiny bits or strips around the edges or between lines from your roller.
Sofa King Fast Get the couch in place within 30 seconds. In Chapter 22: Couch Moving, just keep moving the couch over to the right, using the analog sticks to move up and down between the obstacles. Move it into the blue outline on the ground by the campfire within 20 seconds and place it down to unlock this trophy/achievement.
Leaves That Are Green Clear the leaves in under 45 seconds. In Chapter 23: Leaf Sweeping, use RT/R2 to sweep all the leaves out of the circle around the campfire in under 45 seconds. Press and hold RT/R2 to charge up your sweep and move more leaves a lot further. Using this charged sweep was the fastest way of clearing leaves when I unlocked this.
From the Hip Hit all the cans in under 30 seconds. In Chapter 24: Slingshot, hit all of the cans and bottles on the car. In my experience, one missed shot can be costly, given the time it takes for the shot to fire and to re-aim the slingshot, so focus on accuracy, and you should get this easily.
Doppelbanger Knock over all the character cutouts in the video store. In Chapter 26: Starlight Video, move Slater into the character cutouts at the end of aisles and around the edges of the store. Make sure they fall on the floor and this achievement/trophy will unlock. Don’t go to the counter with your selected movies until you’ve unlocked the trophy/achievement and you can’t miss it.
Tapehead Graveyard Knock 200 VHS tapes off the shelves in the video store. In the same Starlight Video chapter, just have Slater walk close to the shelves with the tapes on them until this trophy/achievement unlocks.
Well, Take a Look at You Don’t miss a single jump or slide while rescuing Cassandra. In Chapter 27: The Run, make sure that you jump or slide past every obstacle on your way to save Cassandra from being caught by her dad.
Banned in Massachusetts Don’t miss any fireworks in the coastal cruise. In Chapter 28: Coastal Cruise, use LT/L2 and RT/R2 to detonate fireworks as you’re driving down the road. I actually missed this on my first attempt when pressing the triggers as I saw fireworks, but found repeatedly pressing the triggers unlocked it on my second attempt through the chapter select.
Fight for Your Right Acquire all the items at the party. During Chapter 29: Party at the Ritz, keep moving around the party until you’ve accepted every item given out to you by other partygoers. I missed this on my first playthrough, so make sure you get right into the corners of the party. If you’ve not unlocked it, circle back around the party a second time to make sure you didn’t miss anyone before speaking to Camille Cole after she descends from the sky.
