In Mixtape, you’ll follow Rockford, Slater, and Cassandra as they spend one final day together before heading off on their separate paths. The game uses a great soundtrack to create a nostalgic experience, reminding players of simpler times and hanging out with friends. Taking inspiration from 1980s coming-of-age movies, Mixtape focuses on a short but meaningful period in the lives of these three characters. If you’re curious about how long it takes to finish the game and how many chapters there are, I’ve put together a complete list of each chapter, along with my own playthrough time.
How Long Does Mixtape Take to Beat?
I finished playing Mixtape in around three hours. My Steam account shows a playtime of 3.1 hours, which is 3 hours and 6 minutes. This includes the credits, but most of that time I was actively playing and making progress in the game.
I unlocked 65% of the game’s achievements, meaning I played through it very thoroughly. The remaining achievements aren’t too difficult to get – they mostly involve completing tasks quickly or in a specific way, like hitting only home runs with one character or popping certain balloons within a level.
Don’t worry if you miss any achievements in Mixtape! After finishing the game once, you can use the Chapter Select feature on the main menu to revisit specific parts and earn those achievements.
