Monster Hunter Wilds: How to get the Armorcharm and Powercharm

In Monster Hunter Wilds, as with previous Monster Hunter games, finding the Armorcharm and Powercharm remains a traditional method of enhancing your hunter before embarking on High Rank and late-game quests. These unique items serve to increase your defense and attack respectively. To utilize their benefits, simply ensure they are equipped on your character.

Unlike Rise where they were readily available for purchase, you’ll need to complete some tough quests to obtain the Armorcharm and Powercharm in Monster Hunter Wilds. Make sure you’re prepared for the hunt! Here’s a guide on how to get these charms and equip them to start receiving bonuses.

Monster Hunter Wilds Armorcharm

You can access the Armorcharm when you reach Hunter Rank (HR) 15 and finish the quest that introduces you to the Wounded Hollow. To do this, you’ll first need to complete all the low-rank quests, which essentially follows the main storyline. After progressing beyond the initial ranks, once you hit HR 15, you’ll receive a quest to enter the Wounded Hollow and defeat a Frenzied Nerscylla.

Once done, feel free to chat with Cobb, who is a armored lancer relaxing near the blacksmith in Suja. He’ll offer you an optional mission called Secure Wounded Hollow, which involves taking down two Hirabami in the arena. This task can be challenging based on your equipment, so remember to utilize the arena’s partition using the levers on its left side to fight the monsters individually. Activate it and defeat both Hirabami to receive the Armorcharm as a reward upon finishing the quest.

Monster Hunter Wilds Powercharm

After hitting HR 20 and finishing the quest to vanquish the Guardian Fulgur Anjanath and Tempered Lala Barina, look for Rex, the fellow armored lancer at Suja’s camp near your tent. Upon completing those tasks, he will offer you the As Gatekeepers mission, which requires you to defeat two Ajarkan in the Wounded Hollow arena.

As a fellow adventurer, let me tell you this mission is every bit as challenging as its title suggests. Use the nearby fence to keep those hulking metal primates apart, so you can battle them one-on-one when the chance arises. And don’t forget to gather some Nulberries to treat the Ajarkan’s curse of blast blight. Finish this task successfully and you’ll be rewarded with a Powercharm!

How to equip the Armorcharm and Powercharm

If you’re new to Armorcharm and Powercharm, remember that unlike regular gear or talismans, you don’t wear these items. Instead, keep them in your inventory. Once your quests are completed, make your way to your tent and find them on the initial page of your item box. They resemble Lifepowder but have a brown and red color respectively. Move both of them into your inventory, and as long as they remain there, you’ll enjoy a slight enhancement to your attack and defense.
