A recent Reddit post has given players a first look at a new map planned for Battlefield 6‘s second season. While the season – and the launch of Battlefield REDSEC – was originally scheduled for today, January 21, 2026, EA has pushed the release back to mid-February to allow for some final improvements.
A Reddit user named ConsistentFact9170 shared a video on the Battlefield subreddit that seems to be a leaked preview of what’s coming in Battlefield’s second season. The video focuses on the Hagental Airbase in Bravia being taken over, strongly hinting it will be a playable map. The preview depicts NATO troops preparing for battle, accompanied by a voiceover emphasizing the critical need to retake the base to avoid losing the war.
Although some commenters believe a second map is coming with the new season, the leaked trailer only showed off Hagental. There’s also been some disappointment expressed about what was revealed.
Where Battlefield 6 Currently Stands
To thank players, EA is adding a special ‘Frostfire Bonus Path’ when the first season’s battle pass launches on January 27th. This path will offer rewards to personalize your game and help you level up faster. You’ll be able to earn some items for free, like an XP boost, a vehicle skin, and customization options for your player card.
