A recently surfaced video offers a sneak peek at the future “Call of Duty: Warzone” game map, set to debut in 2025. Speculation about this map has been brewing for some time, with past leaks hinting that it goes by the internal code name Avalon. This is the first instance where fans have had the opportunity to witness the “Call of Duty: Warzone” map and its Points of Interest in motion.
As a die-hard gamer, I’ve been anxiously awaiting updates from Activision about Call of Duty: Warzone since last year when they dropped the Urzikstan map. The buzz around town has been all about the potential return of Verdansk to Warzone, and now, a fresh leak gives us a sneak peek at what could be the next map after Verdansk makes its comeback in Call of Duty: Warzone.
In a recent tweet, @betterthanalaix shares a sneak peek at the upcoming “Call of Duty: Warzone” map, one among several leaks they’ve posted about “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.” The leaked map appears to be Avalon, rumored for release with the 2025 “Call of Duty” game. The video shows a preliminary version of the map as textures are low-resolution and certain areas appear empty, suggesting changes in the final release. Despite this, several intriguing locations have sparked fan enthusiasm.

Several locations familiar from past “Call of Duty” games have been identified in the leaked “Warzone” map. These include Hacienda, originally seen in “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4”, and Dig, which hails from “Black Ops 2”. As a devoted fan, I must express my thrill over a particular map that’s got our gaming hearts racing – Outskirts from Call of Duty: World at War. Frankly, the anticipation for its return has been off the charts, even surpassing the excitement for the other Black Ops maps. Another favorite, Detour from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, and WMD from Black Ops 1 have also been making appearances. Given that whispers had hinted at CoD leaning into nostalgia in 2025, the resurrection of these classic maps in Warzone certainly seems strategic. However, since this map is only rumored to arrive at least a year down the line, plans could always shift before its grand unveiling. With the buzz it’s created within our gaming community, Activision definitely appears to be hitting the mark.
