New Lies of P: Overture Details Revealed

The opening act of “Lies of P” is set to debut during the remaining months of summer, and fresh insights regarding gameplay features have been shared with us.

Through an interview with Eurogamer, Lies of P: Overture‘s director, Choi Ji-won, shared some details about the positioning of the upcoming prequel regarding gameplay experience compared to the original Lies of P.

In Choi’s explanation, the Lies of P: Overture story can be easily reached, starting approximately from chapter nine in the main game itself. This indicates that the new narrative has been incorporated into the original game rather than being a separate, self-contained tale.

From my perspective as a passionate fan, I echo Choi’s sentiments when he told Eurogamer that Overture wasn’t meant to stand alone. Combining the base game and the expansion, we’re convinced that Lies of P is delivered in its full glory – an experience we couldn’t bring to life earlier on.

For game length, Lies of P: Overture is estimated to be around 15-20 hours for seasoned players. It introduces fresh settings, adversaries, bosses, firearms, and personalities. Among the new weapons are a bow and claws, but Choi didn’t reveal much else about them.

As a gamer, I’m eagerly anticipating the upcoming DLC, and Choi has hinted that it’s worth revisiting the base game to uncover clues about Overture. He emphasized that the final scene of the game doesn’t relate directly to what we can expect in the DLC. Instead, this ending serves as a tantalizing teaser for future journeys from the developer. No worries, no spoilers here!
