A reliable source within the gaming industry has hinted that a special bundle featuring the game Astro Bot for the PlayStation 5 is being developed. This bundle, according to the report, should be accessible on more than one continent.

Starting from its launch at the end of 2020, Sony has occasionally provided incentives for its ninth-generation console by including games and other enticing items. Recently, they have unveiled special offers such as the Fortnite Cobalt Star PS5 package and two exclusive Monster Hunter Rise bundles in Japan, available in November 2024 and February 2025.

It appears another PS5 package deal is being reported by Dealabs’ Billbil-kun, suggesting that Sony may soon offer a new bundle that includes the game “Astro Bot.” This bundle is expected to be available in Europe and North America initially, with potential expansion to other regions. According to Billbil-kun, this package will come with the standard PS5 Disc Edition console, which includes a disc drive. Notably, this is different from the last PS5 bundle Sony released in the West, which featured the Slim variant that was launched in November 2023.

According to reports, the Astro Bot collection is expected to drop sometime between late winter 2025 and early spring 2025, with a potential release date on March 13th. The same source suggests that the price in Europe will range from approximately €474.99 to €499.99, similar to the Fortnite Cobalt Star PS5 bundle. It’s speculated that this package will come with a digital code for the game, but it’s undecided if it’ll be for the Standard or Digital Deluxe versions of Astro Bot.

Sony Could Announce Its Next PS5 Bundle This Week

Based on information from longtime source Nate the Hate, there’s a possibility that Sony will host a State of Play event in mid-February 2025. If the speculation about the upcoming release of the Astro Bot bundle in March is accurate, this hypothetical event could be an ideal platform for Sony to formally unveil this product.

Including “Astro Bot” with the PS5 could indicate Sony’s belief in the game’s ability to boost system sales. However, it seems that “Astro Bot” is already doing quite well on its own, as reportedly, it has sold 1.5 million copies since its release three days before completing two months. This achievement was announced by Sony, and considering it took a team of around 65 people about three years to develop the game, “Astro Bot” has likely already covered its costs – particularly given that it is a first-party title, which means it avoids the typical 30% cut from PS Store sales.
