No, Dr Disrespect Was Not Invited To Play Highguard

Dr Disrespect sparked a lot of online discussion after claiming he was invited to play the game Highguard with Wildlight Entertainment in Los Angeles. He shared a photo of an event ID on social media, stating he traveled to LA – “took the Lambo” – specifically to participate.

Okay, so it was super obvious that Dr Disrespect’s recent image was a fake – probably made by the same artists who do his usual stream graphics. But honestly, some people are actually boycotting Highguard because of it? I just don’t get why they’re taking it that seriously!

Dr Disrespect Fakes Highguard Invite

On January 24th, Dr Disrespect shared a photo on social media showing his gaming setup and a badge proving he attended the Highguard event in Los Angeles.

We recently drove our Lamborghini to Los Angeles to explore #Highguard. Then, on Monday, January 26th at 10am Pacific Time, we’re launching into something completely new! We’re really excited!

Wildlight hosted an event to fully demonstrate their new shooting game to a large group of streamers, content creators, professional gamers, and influencers. There’s also speculation that Dr Disrespect was in attendance.

The fake image appeared on social media, but people who were actually at the event quickly proved it was false. They simply showed their real tickets and pointed out the mistakes. However, that wasn’t enough to convince those who prefer to rely on speculation rather than facts and logic.

It was kinda frustrating to see, but a lot of people online started criticizing Wildlight just for being friends with Dr Disrespect. Anyone who follows streaming knows he’s been through a lot of drama lately, and it felt like Wildlight was getting heat just by association. It just didn’t seem fair, honestly.

Chin, the Creator Manager for Highguard at Wildlight Entertainment, has clarified on social media that the image is definitely not true.

Hi, I’m Chin, the Creator Manager for Highguard and Wildlight. I want to clarify that DDR was never invited to any of our events, either in the past or currently, and the badge they had wasn’t an official one.

Dr Disrespect hasn’t joined the Highguard scene in Los Angeles like some others. He’s actually streaming the game right now, and that’s as involved as he’s going to get with it.
