‘Nothing Is Cooking’: CZ Roasts Crypto Founder Over Misused Selfie

As a seasoned crypto investor with a nose for authenticity and a knack for discerning genuine partnerships from hollow promotional stunts, I find myself deeply troubled by the recent antics of 5ireChain’s founder, Pratik Gauri. His attempt to leverage a selfie with Binance’s Changpeng Zhao as a means to mislead investors is not only unethical but also downright laughable.

A crypto entrepreneur’s recent effort to utilize a selfie alongside Binance’s Changpeng Zhao seemed intended for a potentially deceptive marketing gimmick.

In a since-removed social media post, Pratik Gauri, founder of 5ireChain, posted a selfie with CZ (Changpeng Zhao), accompanied by a handshake emoji and the phrase “What’s cooking?” The caption seemed to suggest that there might be some private business dealings ongoing between them.

This is exactly how NOT to use a selfie with me.

Nothing is cooking. Didn’t even have a chat. Just a selfie at an event. 😂

CZ promptly made it clear that there’s no connection between him and Gauri. This was just a coincidental selfie taken at an occasion, and they didn’t exchange a single word during the event.

“This is exactly how NOT to use a selfie with me,” he stressed.

In a follow-up post, CZ said that one should be “alarmed” if a person or a project misuses a selfie for promotional purposes. “Posting selfies when I meet someone I like/admire is normal. But I would never use that to promote my project, unless with explicit permission,” he added.
