In this game, the star sign associated with The Ritual bestows you with two initial skills: Blessed Word and Mara’s Gift. For a total of 40 units of Magicka, Blessed Word causes any undead creatures in close proximity to retreat from you for a duration of 30 seconds, much like the Turn Undead ability. This armor upgrade proves beneficial at the start and continues to be so as it safeguards you even before you’re fully armored, while further amplifying your protection when you are.

Regarding magic resistance, it essentially signifies a reduced vulnerability to magic attacks. This translates into you sustaining 15% less damage from spells or magical assaults. Essentially, you’re inherently tougher and more durable across all aspects, enhancing your overall durability.

By the way, in the initial version of Oblivion, this particular star sign exhibited a distinct influence, granting a reduced capacity for healing and making you vulnerable to fire, neither of which were retained in the current gameplay.

As a character from “The Apprentice,” you receive an enhancement for your magical abilities, boosting your Magicka by a significant 100 points. Yet, there’s a catch: you become completely vulnerable to any magic attacks that come your way, with a full 100% susceptibility.

Building it might be very hazardous, particularly if you’re not accompanied by any allies. However, the additional Magic power you’d gain could instead be utilized for casting spells from afar or summoning help, thus maintaining your safety.

Additionally, you could lessen the penalty slightly by choosing a Breton character, who naturally receive an extra 50 points in their Resistance Magic attribute as part of their standard equipment.
