Summary
- One Oblivion Remastered player posted a picture showing that sitting in a chair in their own house was somehow seen as a crime.
- While other players responded with funny comments and images, none were able to explain the strange glitch.
- Many of the funny issues present in the original title have also made their way to the remaster.
When engaged in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered gameplay, a player found it amusingly unlawful to simply take a seat on their own chair. Many players have cultivated an affection for the assortment of peculiarities and flaws characteristic of Bethesda’s RPG classics, and it appears that Oblivion Remastered preserves numerous quirks, much to the delight of the gaming community.
Ever since the anticipated release of “Oblivion Remastered” in late April, it’s been a resounding success for both Bethesda and Virtuos. Players have praised the game for its upgraded graphics and gameplay, as well as its faithful adherence to the original content. The 2006 version was a groundbreaking title of its time, with its open world and sophisticated NPCs representing significant advancements over the preceding game, “The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind” from 2002. Despite being overshadowed by newer releases, “Oblivion” still holds a special place in many gamers’ hearts for its quirky dialogue, eccentric characters, and numerous glitches, some of which have persisted into the remastered version after almost two decades.
Recently, I posted a screenshot on the Oblivion subreddit showing my character getting ready to sit on a chair in my virtual house. However, when I hovered my cursor over this specific seat, its name appeared in red, suggesting it’s somehow illegal to sit there. The comments section was filled with jokes and memes, but no one seemed to know why sitting on this chair or even entering my Bravil home is considered a crime in the game of Oblibion. It’s quite peculiar!
Oblivion Remastered Player Shows That It’s Illegal to Sit in Their Own Chair
As a gamer diving back into Cyrodiil after a long hiatus, I can’t stress enough to the fresh faces joining us – complete the Kvatch quest from Oblivion before hitting level 10! The veterans have been warning us about this; if you wait too long, the difficulty spikes almost exponentially. One player who held off on tackling the early main quest until reaching level 15 found himself needing nearly 30 health potions in a battle that should’ve been a breeze against some Flame Atronachs, Scamps, and Daedroths.
In the game, some quirky features are appreciated by players, but not all errors or malfunctions are amusing. Fortunately, Bethesda is gathering feedback from players of Oblivion Remastered to keep enhancing the game. Players who wish to offer suggestions or report issues can join the Discord server and go to the #oblivion-suggestions channel to express their opinions.
