All Old Gotham West Riddler Puzzles Overview
Old Gotham West contains 10 Riddler Puzzles. You can solve one of them with any playable character, but the remaining puzzles each require a specific hero like Batgirl, Nightwing, or Talia. Two of these puzzles are hidden within special Puzzle Rooms, and the final room won’t open until you’ve already solved 60 Cluemaster Puzzles and 60 Riddler Puzzles.
As a player, I’ve found you can easily check your coordinates in the game. Just open up the map and move your cursor around – you’ll see the numbers pop up in the bottom-right corner of the screen. It’s super helpful for marking locations!

What You Need Before Solving Every Riddler Puzzle in Old Gotham West
You won’t be able to solve all the Riddler Puzzles in Old Gotham West right away. You first need to unlock all seven playable characters, as each one is required to solve puzzles at some point. Check out our guide on unlocking all characters to learn when to get them.
The ‘Riddle by Riddle’ Puzzle Room becomes available only after you finish all the previous Riddler Puzzle Rooms. Similarly, you can’t access ‘Riddler vs Cluemaster’ until you’ve completed every other Riddler Puzzle and all 60 Cluemaster Puzzles. Because of this, the tenth Old Gotham West Riddler Puzzle Box will be the final collectible puzzle box you obtain.

Crane Supreme Riddler Puzzle Solution
- Coordinates: 321, 483
- Required Characters: Jim Gordon, Batgirl
Once the moving cage comes to a halt beside the cube and opens, use Jim Gordon’s Foam Sprayer on the nearby gears to lock the cage in place. Then, simply push the cube into the cage.
Launch something at the foam to restart the moving cage. Once the cage reaches the bottom and opens, use Jim Gordon’s Foam Sprayer on the gears to lock it in place.
Head up to the roof where the cage ended its movement and remove the cube. Keep pulling until it won’t budge any further. Next, use Batgirl’s Hackarang on the device to the left of the cube to operate the hook hanging above. Position the hook directly over the cube and lower it completely to finish the puzzle.
Into the Spotlight Riddler Puzzle Solution
- Coordinates: 303, 464
- Required Character: Any character
Trace the wires from the cube to find a rooftop with three spotlights. Aim those spotlights at the question mark on the wall, and use the lens adjustment to find shapes that precisely match the symbol.
The light will change to green when the shape is correctly placed, and you’ll be able to reach the cube after all three spotlights are aligned.
The Fault in Our Statues Riddler Puzzle Solution
- Coordinates: 330, 449
- Required Character: Robin
Find the dumpster in the northeast corner near the cube and destroy it to find an electrical box. Then, break the lock on the box and press the button inside to turn on the three switches on the wall.
Use Robin’s Birdarang to hit all three switches in a single throw, starting with the one on the left and finishing with the one on the right. After the Birdarang connects, press the red button next to the cube to complete the puzzle.
Bridge, But Not Too Far Riddler Puzzle Solution
- Coordinates: 291, 400
- Required Characters: Robin, Batman
Go across the aerial bridge and you’ll find a machine linked to the cage holding the cube. Use Robin’s staff to remove the blocking piece from the machine. Then, put the staff into the yellow slot on the machine and slide it to the right – this will move the cube to the other side of the cage.
Remove the cube from the cage, then use the Batclaw to grapple the yellow point and complete the puzzle.
Under Pressure Riddler Puzzle Solution
- Coordinates: 281, 401
- Required Characters: Talia, Batman
Imagine you have Batman’s X-ray vision and use it to look inside the toolbox near the cubicle. Then, trace the wires running underground until you find one that goes up the wall beside the two garage doors. This wire will connect to a red wire you can see, which then leads up to the roof.
Head towards the propeller by following the red wire. Use Talia’s Ninja Dash to quickly move past it and go inside. Once you’re in the room, turn the wheel completely to the right – this will release the cube.
Denying Gravity Riddler Puzzle Solution
- Coordinates: 271, 385
- Required Character: Catwoman
Okay, so the cube is jammed way up inside this yellow pipe. To get to it, you need to follow the pipe all the way down to the ground. Then, switch to Catwoman and climb the wall right next to the pipe – there’s a switch at the very top you need to hit!
Now, use Catwoman’s Whip to take out the screw at the bottom of the pipe. Then, go back to the end of the pipe where the cube is located. Break the three crates nearby, and use the pieces you find to build a device that will push the cube forward. This will send the cube through the pipe and out the bottom opening.
Unstill as a Statue Riddler Puzzle Solution
- Coordinates: 223, 366
- Required Character: Nightwing
Place the three small statues on the platforms around the main statue. Clear away any obstacles blocking their way so you can move them into the correct spots.
After you’ve positioned all three statues, activate the generator located across from the cube. Next, use Nightwing’s Electric Cable Launcher to create a connection between the generator and the connection point directly above the cube.
Slots of Fun Riddler Puzzle Solution
- Coordinates: 241, 339
- Required Characters: Jim Gordon, Batgirl
To complete the Slots of Fun puzzle, locate the three correct symbols and input them into the device located next to the cube.
- Left symbol: Send Batgirl’s drone through the window above the pipe.
- Middle symbol: Grab the card on the ground under the elevated walkway, then insert it into the device on the walkway next to the horizontal green question mark panel.
- Right symbol: Use Jim Gordon’s Foam Sprayer to stop the water from the pipe, then inspect the piece on the ground.
After entering the correct symbols into the device, flip the switch to solve the puzzle.
Riddle by Riddle Riddler Puzzle Room Solution
- Coordinates: Puzzle Room at 314, 411
- Required Characters: Catwoman, Batman
You’ll find the ‘Riddle by Riddle’ puzzle inside a Puzzle Room located at 314, 411. Like other Riddler Puzzle Rooms, the solution involves arranging objects as they would appear in a mirror. If you haven’t discovered this Puzzle Room yet, keep solving Riddler Puzzles and completing other Puzzle Rooms around Gotham City until it shows up on your map.
Once you’re inside, use the Batclaw to pull off the panel at the back of the room. Next, switch to UV vision and look at the paint nearby. Follow the paint marks as they lead down the stairs to a bookcase – be careful, it’s rigged to explode!
Use Batman’s Spray Explosive to blow open the wall and reach a new room containing a caged area. As Catwoman, climb the wall to the left of the cage and flip the switch at the top to unlock it. Once inside, use Batman’s Batclaw to grapple onto the yellow point and retrieve a crank.
Bring the crank back to the spot where you originally found the paint. Place it into the gears and turn it fully to the right. This will lift the chandelier into its proper place.
Now, go back through the opening you created earlier by removing the wall panel. Crawl through the vent until you reach a small room. Inside, break the cart that’s blocking the dumbwaiter. Place the candles you found on the table onto the dumbwaiter, then press the red button to lower them. This puts the candles where they need to be.
Go back through the vent, then turn left into the hallway past the paint. Enter the room on your right. Use Batman’s X-ray vision to examine the toolbox in the corner. Follow the green wire inside the wall – it leads to a switch hidden behind a bookcase. Once you find it, the bookcase will break, letting you reach the switch.
Pick up the boombox in the room and bring it downstairs. Set it on the stand nearest the mirror. Next, use Catwoman to break the glass of the display case in the back corner and take out the lamp. Place the lamp on the table next to the boombox. Once everything is positioned correctly, the mirror will lift, and you can grab the Puzzle Box.
Riddler vs Cluemaster Puzzle Room Solution
- Coordinates: Puzzle Room at 198, 353
- Required Characters: Jim Gordon, Robin
- Unlock Requirement: Collect all 60 Cluemaster Puzzle Boxes and the other 60 Riddler Puzzle Boxes.
Okay, so the final Puzzle Room is a showdown between the Riddler and the Cluemaster! You can only get to it after a lot of work – you need to find all 60 of the Cluemaster Puzzle Boxes and all 60 of the Riddler Puzzle Boxes first. It’s the last one you can collect, and it’s a really cool mix of everything you’ve learned – it uses the robot paths from the Cluemaster rooms and the tricky mirror-object puzzles from the Riddler rooms. It’s a perfect challenge to finish everything off!
Room 1 Solution
First, use Jim Gordon’s Foam Sprayer on the three vents that are causing the tiles to lift. Next, check the mirror in the room to figure out which squares on the robot’s path are electrified, identify the final square, and determine where to place the objects.
Okay, so first things first, I need to figure out the robot’s path. Most of the tiles I need are right here around the puzzle board, but I can’t forget those three I stuck in the vents earlier! I’ve got the order figured out, so now I just need to slot them in and then hit that red button – let’s do this!
- Room 1 Robot Path: West, west, north, north, north, east
Once the robot’s route is figured out, arrange the objects on the board to match the mirrored layout. Place the bear in the front-right corner, the candles right beside it, and the mask diagonally across from the candles. You can set up the bear and candles beforehand, but don’t place the mask until after the robot has run, as it will obstruct its path.
Room 2 Solution
First, find the code (2143) by looking at the wall above the puzzle reflected in the mirror, and enter it into the tumbler. Like in the previous room, the mirror also shows you which squares on the robot path are electrified, where the path ends, and where to place the objects.
Once you enter the correct code, two large conveyor belts next to the tile puzzle will start, giving you all the tiles you need. You can then use these tiles to solve the robot puzzle on the right side of the room, placing them in the following order:
- Right Robot Path: South (two arrows), west (two arrows), west, north (two arrows)
Before starting the robot, spray the two squares that are shooting fire – the ones nearest the mirror – with Jim Gordon’s Foam Sprayer. Next, use Robin’s Cable Launcher to connect the two connection points, one near the mirror and the other on the opposite side of the board. This will move a platform that the foam will then stop, creating a safe path for the robot to reach the finish.
Once you solve the robot puzzle, a statue with a hat will appear to your right. You’ll need this statue later to solve the mirror puzzle on the right side of the room.
Pull the lever located between the puzzle boards. This will shift the mirror to the left, uncovering the electrified tiles, the final square, and where to place objects for the left-side puzzle. To solve the robot puzzle on the left, place the tiles in the correct sequence and then press the red button.
- Left Robot Path: North (two arrows), north, west (two arrows), south
After the robot finishes, turn your attention to the mirror puzzle on the left. You’ll find both the bear and the candles you need right beside the puzzle board. Place the bear on the square in the front-right corner, and the candles on the front-left.
Now it’s time to complete the right mirror puzzle. Take the bust that showed up beside the left puzzle board and place it on the back-left space of the right board. Next, take the bust wearing a hat that appeared to the right of the right board and put it on the front-right space. With both mirror puzzles finished, you’ll be able to enter the final room.
Room 3 Solution
To finish the room, place the five tiles on the north side, then press the red button. This will defeat the Riddler and Cluemaster and finish the final Puzzle Room.
