As a seasoned survivor in the world of Once Human, I can’t help but sing praises for the elusive Artisan’s Touch Deviant. This little gem has been my saving grace during those late-game grinds when every second counts.
In the game “Once Human“, deviants offer diverse perks to players. Some assist with chores at your base, others aid in battles, and there are those that generate useful materials. One exceptional example is Artisan’s Touch, a crafting-oriented deviant who creates one of the finest game-enhancing consumables.
As a seasoned gamer immersed in the world of “Once Human,” let me tell you that Artisan’s Touch stands out among Territory Deviants for its exceptionally valuable resources it generates. While it might not be indispensable early on, once you’ve advanced into the mid-endgame, having this Deviant as a resident in your territory becomes a must-have!
Where To Find Artisan’s Touch In Once Human
Unlike most Deviants in the game, Artisan’s Touch isn’t obtained through events or found as floating bubbles; instead, it drops from defeated enemies. Particularly, the Scorcher, a massive deviation with a flaming cement mixer for a head, is the enemy you should hunt to get this item. The Scorcher is classified as an elite enemy, making it more challenging than regular Stardust monsters. Remember to ensure your weapons in Once Human are upgraded before tackling anything that’s a higher level than you.
There are three areas where you can find a Scorcher roaming about:
- Hearst Industries (Broken Delta – across the Deadsville bridge): Found in one of the factory buildings in the middle of the complex.
- Greywater Industrial Zone (Iron River – west of Greywater Camp): Found roaming near the warehouses on the upper level.
- Eastern Railway Junction (Broken Delta – northwestern end): Found near one of the derailed train cars. Follow the railroad tracks.
In the open environment, the Scorchers are tough enemies that absorb a lot of bullets. When their health diminishes sufficiently, they split into two separate entities. Shoot them extensively, and you’ll have the chance to gather loot from their remains. If fortune favors you, Artisan’s Touch might be one of the items you find on them. Keep in mind that the chances of encountering this particular type of enemy are slim, so it may require defeating several Scorchers before you manage to get one.
Instead of patiently waiting for the Scorchers to reappear, you could jump between dimensions by using a Teleportation Tower in the game “Once Human“.
What Does Artisan’s Touch Do?
As an enthusiast, I can share that The Artisan’s Touch by Deviant creates Versatile Crafting Kits, and unveils the tactical Multi-Function Glove for your Advanced or Intermediate Workbench. The Multi-Function Glove mends the most fragile item among those you are currently equipped with, but it’s ineffective on gear obtained from looting. To craft this handy tool, you’ll need:
- 40 Universal Toolkits
- 15 Acid
- 40 Stardust Source
- 1 (Beryllium/Iridium/Platinum) Crystal
Instead of relying on All-Purpose Hand for every repair job, it’s not always the cheaper option, but it offers undeniable convenience. In late-game scenarios, weapon and armor durability deplete rapidly, especially when battling Once Human‘s monolith bosses. Having a way to repair your gear on the battlefield without having to return home is a lifesaver for players aiming for an uninterrupted farming spree.
The real kicker to crafting All-Purpose Hand is the Acid and Stardust cost. Both of these can be hard to gather en masse, so unless you’re swimming in resources, craft All-Purpose Hand sparingly.
