Joy Boy is a legendary figure who’s been mentioned throughout the story of One Piece. He was a powerful enemy of the World Government and its allies, and is considered the first pirate ever. He bravely battled all twenty of the original kingdoms alone. His reputation was so strong that his enemies desperately tried to remove all traces of him from history.

Despite living long ago, Joy Boy remains a famous figure. He was the original user of the Nika fruit and had such powerful Haki that it frightened even Imu. Joy Boy faced many powerful, legendary enemies in his time.

The World Government has ruled the world of One Piece for over 800 years, controlling countless islands. It began as an alliance of 20 kingdoms that united to become a dominant global power. They formed because of Joy Boy – a tremendously powerful figure they saw as a threat. They eventually defeated Joy Boy and established a new world order, then attempted to erase his name and their own dark history. As a result, they became Joy Boy’s dedicated enemies.

I’ve learned about the Holy Knights, and they’re truly a unique group. They seem to be incredibly powerful individuals, hand-picked and directly controlled by Imu. What’s even more astonishing is that they’re essentially immortal – regular attacks just don’t seem to work on them. Apparently, the only way to truly defeat one is with a very strong form of willpower called Conqueror’s Haki. They’re completely loyal to Imu, willing to carry out any order, no matter how terrible, just to gain his favor. From what I gather, this group probably originated during the mysterious Void Century, likely sent out to fight against those who opposed the World Government.

4. The Gorosei

Most Trusted Underlings Of Imu

The Gorosei are the public face of the World Government and hold immense power, ranking even above the Fleet Admiral. They monitor everything happening globally and actively try to suppress knowledge of the Void Century. Their deep-seated animosity towards Joy Boy became clear when Luffy began to awaken his Devil Fruit powers. They were willing to sacrifice one of their own agents to prevent Luffy from fully unlocking his potential, as they recognize the threat he poses to their control of the world.

While the details of their conflict are unknown, it may have resembled the famous rivalry between Whitebeard and Roger.

Imu is the primary villain in One Piece and is incredibly powerful, exceeding even the strongest pirates known as the Yonko. He’s so dominant that no one currently alive can hope to defeat him. Only one person in history has ever given Imu a challenge: Joy Boy. Imu has actively tried to wipe Joy Boy from the records, and has largely succeeded, but the threat of Joy Boy’s return still haunts him, even though Joy Boy is no longer living.
