In One Piece episode 1160, a significant moment occurred when Luffy encountered Loki. This meeting happened only after the Straw Hat crew successfully broke free from the Sun God’s Block Kingdom.
Once Luffy escaped, he climbed down from the rope bridge to investigate the strange sound. He discovered a massive, pink-haired man who was chained up. After speaking with him, Luffy realized the man was Loki, who surprisingly claimed to be the Sun God and boasted that he would be the one to end the world of One Piece.
Luffy And Loki’s First Interaction
Luffy and Loki only had a brief conversation near the end of the episode, mainly exchanging introductions. Loki asked Luffy his name, to which Luffy replied and also announced his ambition to become King of the Pirates. Then, Luffy turned the questions around, asking Loki his name and where they were.
I am the Sun God…Loki.
The giant reluctantly revealed his name was Loki and that they were on the island of Elbaph. He had previously warned the pirate that he would be the one to destroy the world, and also identified himself as the Sun God. Sadly, their conversation was cut short at the end of the episode.

Loki probably wants to escape, and might try to convince Luffy to unlock his chains. Given Luffy’s respect for Shanks, he could easily agree. However, Loki admitting he’s destined to destroy the world might change Luffy’s mind. Still, Luffy is confident in his own abilities and believes he could stop Loki if necessary.
Someone sensible would likely reject Loki’s requests, particularly given his reputation as the Accursed Prince. The people of Elbaph deeply distrust Loki, blaming him for extensive damage caused by his relentless pursuit of power.
I’m so hyped for One Piece Episode 1161! It’s going to be amazing seeing Luffy and Loki take center stage, but don’t worry, the Straw Hats will definitely have their moments too. They’ve already reached Elbaph, but the rest of the crew who were with the Giant Warrior Pirates haven’t quite gotten there yet. Honestly, they spent a long time searching for Luffy and the others on the Thousand Sunny! They finally decided to stop looking in the last episode, realizing Luffy and the crew are more than capable of handling anything that comes their way. It’s great to see that trust!
Episode 1161 of One Piece will show whether Sanji, Zoro, Nami, Chopper, and Usopp will try to find Luffy or explore the island for its inhabitants. They might encounter members of the New Giant Warrior Pirates, like Hajrudin, who could give them information about Luffy’s location. With a clearer idea of where he is, the crew can then make a plan. It’s likely that Zoro or Sanji will go after Luffy directly, worried he’ll act without thinking.
You can watch One Piece Episode 1161 on Crunchyroll and Netflix, with audio in Japanese and subtitles in English. An English dub isn’t available yet, but it’s expected to be released in the next few weeks.
