I’m completely hooked on this anime! It’s just a really chill, slice-of-life series, perfect for relaxing. And honestly, everyone in Japan seems to be loving it too! It’s actually become more popular than even One Piece, at least according to the latest buzz for 2025 – which is pretty amazing!

It’s not surprising that some fans aren’t enjoying the One Piece anime as much lately. Many feel it hasn’t kept up with the quality of newer anime, particularly in areas like pacing and sound. Why One Piece Needs A New Anime

It’s clear that One Piece is a top-tier manga, with a story many consider the best in anime and manga. However, the anime adaptation doesn’t quite reach the same quality as newer shows from other studios.

One Piece needs significant improvements, and while Toei Animation is trying to address this, their efforts are limited. Producing 26 episodes annually is a demanding schedule, and as they approach the source material, the animation tends to suffer from slower pacing and lower quality.

Fans have been asking for a fresh anime adaptation of One Piece, and it’s finally happening! At Jump Festa 2025, it was revealed that Wit Studio will be producing a new version of the series, promising a high-quality adaptation with the latest animation technology.

A new, updated version of One Piece is in development, aiming to deliver a viewing experience that rivals today’s best anime. Currently, there’s no confirmed release date, but fans are hoping it will debut sometime in 2026.

The newest chapter of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece will appear in this week’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Chapter 1166 is scheduled to be released on November 23, 2025. In Japan, it will be available at midnight on Monday. For fans in the US, that translates to 11:00 AM Eastern Time or 8:00 AM Pacific Time.
